The salty camel

Food was great, cooked very nice and light.
Got a fillet with chips to take away and wasn’t disappointed, portion was good size (lot of chips).

The staff was smoky and kind, I really felt comfortable.

The place was clean and neat, although I didn’t eat there

the best fish n chips ever I had in Australia it’s on our way back from Port Lincoln to Adelaide. It was Good Friday, and almost everything was closed, leaving me starving. i found this place right where we parked. Ordered fish n chips with King George whiting and a battered hot dog The batter was just like the crispy tempura I had in Japan, not too salty or over-seasoned. Can feel its freshness And the chips, I’ve never been a fan of potato chips in Australia, but this not oily at all still tasty even after cooling down. The packaging was simple, but food inside was incredible . I love this approach.

A wide selection of fresh locally caught seafood. I had Gummy Shark, which was delicious in a very crisp light batter. The service was very friendly and helpful too.

Puts the only other competition to shame. The other having been the only place for years became very very pricey, stingy, rude.

Fish is fresh and local! They even advertise to not serve any imported cheap rubbish seafood. The place is newly opened. So everything is clean and I can taste that the oil is fresh! Thanks guys!!

I just wolfed down the crispy chicken and bacon burger. That's the best one I've ever had! Congratulations Cowell and "the salty camel" (strange name, I'll skip over that bit).

The best. Even nailed the chicken burger!

We got fish and chips and calamari which was battered. We are not fussy people but the chips were ok and the whiting was ordinary but the let down was the calamari. They were rubber bands with the batter falling off as we were trying to eat them. Disappointed as we had read the reviews and they were so positive.

Food was ok but WOW so overpriced. And about 15 chips for $7 is a complete rip off. Better off at the shack on the water.
