Lochiel Memorial Hall RV Campsite

The Lochiel Memorial Hall RV/ Campsite is a great free overnight camp. It has a kids fenced playground with swings, slides a flying fox and climbing bars on soft wood chips and we'll maintained grassy area on the side. There is. A BBQ under a covered shelter with seats and a round table. There is a water faucet next to the back Memorial Hall. A clean Toilet block with toilet paper and soap, they have 5 toilets all in all. The campsite is a good size on dirt soil right next to the main highway and Infront of the beautiful Pink Lake where Loch Eel, The Loch Ness Monsters' cousin is believed to reside. The area is clean and well kept, we'll lighted and safe to park overnight after a long drive. Thank you Lochiel for the great stop! Generator allowed.

Great stop off the highway (access via Robert St), over the road from Lake Bumbunga (Pink Salt Lake).
Features 5 clean toilets, one is a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities. Behind this is a fantastic, fully-fenced playground with a grassed area. Outside the playground is a sheltered area with a BBQ and bench seating. There is a Telstra Public Payphone a short walk away. Great for a quick toilet stop or for a rest while the kids play.

Really great spot for an overnighter , clean toilet block, awesome fenced playground for the kids , opposite the lock ness monster on the lake sculpture.

Not a huge area & not much perfectly level ground but a delightful view of the water & Nessie. Would have stayed longer in town if 90kph winds weren't threatening.

Amazing camping site
Can't help much with the road traffic.
Nothing to do with the campsite.
Usually low at night times I was able to sleep in my car with just 1-2 wakeups inbetween
It has a CCTV cameras so you may feel secure during the night
Nice n clean public toilets for all male female parents and challenged.
A sheltered barbeque area and a picnic table
Good for groups and it was free
