Bondi Pavilion

The Bondi Pavilion on Queen Elizabeth Dr is a very interesting place!

Construction in the later part of 1928, it most definitely has stood the test of time with the number of people who have visited the area of Bondi!

My first visit here was in 1976, and although the Pavilion hasn't changed much but the surrounding area has changed a lot...

There are a couple of great restaurants, with one being the Promenada serving very delicious food but always very busy, and there can be a wait time!

Later in the evening, when around the Pavilion, it can be a very peaceful place from the hustle and bustle of the day...

There's plenty of parking spaces if you get the chance to get a parking spot, and toilet facilities with showers are here that are well maintained.

As you step into the pavilion, you can't help but feel the sense of grandeur and refinement emanating from every aspect of its design. With high ceilings, large windows overlooking the beach, intricate details in both structure and décor; this building truly represents what makes Sydney so special - all while maintaining perfect harmony between form & function.

Went on a weekday, was nice and not to busy. Toilets and paid off street street parking nearby. Playground next to the pavilion. Free on street parking a few minutes away if you can find a spot. Worth a visit.

A very cool place to be able to train Taekwondo. The world best beach is just at the door step and nice cafe as well as restaurant is just what I needed after a good hard training to wind down.

Fantastic feel! The moment the bus turns the final corner and you see the beach from above, you immediately become awed by the colours of the sand and the water, the massive volume of the oceanic sea, and the non-stopping big waves that make everyone react like children. It is amazing that almost any person who leaves the beach, leaves with a smile 😊. That's the bondi beach effect on people!

Nice place that for July features a Ferris wheel, an ice rink and an outdoor restaurant (the restaurant might be staying longer for the season). Also has a nice small museum (gallery). Restrooms are available as well.

Lovely place by the beachfront for a superb view of Bondi Beach over a nice meal.

Ocean front dining indoor and outdoor, public restrooms, art exhibits, 2 bistros, closest to the water as possible in Bondi. Beautifully remodeled. The facility is huge.

This place has been renovated and looks very different now. There are numerous spaces for everyone to enjoy. We went to the small theatre for a musical performance and it was an intimate setting for the songs. A great experience, would love to go back again.

Wonderful revamp ! An incredible space for all. Wonderful touch screen story room where one can learn all about the history of Bondi and it’s connection to culture and country !! The theatre is comfortable & spacious showing some old glass windows which were hidden prior to the renovation.

A great investment for the public !

Great place for a beer right in front of the beach

Good place to go for tourists, especially if you want to see the famous Bondi rescue lifeguards, but its not a special looking beach.

Great place to have lunch or dinner and enjoy the Bondi Beach view.

Freshly renovated, great place to hide from the sun and enjoy some of the venues in/around it.

Bondi Pavilion is situated in the sunny coastal area of North Sydney where the beauty and charm of its beaches will captivate residents, tourists and any naturalists alike - photographers are very welcome here too!

The pavilion itself is known for being a small arts and performing center which has a long historical value in Sydney and stands as being a culturally important site for all of Australia.

While it used to be utilised famously for beach bathing trends, studio rehearsals and even dances (post war), it now stands as a beautiful monument, harboring its yellow, sandy gaze against the ocean views.

If you're up north, go visit this treasured site and soak in the history behind its simple, quaint tale.

Note: The photos I took were of a night concert celebrating Women's role in Jazz. The singer you see in these photos, accompanied by her pianist and brass player, is called 'Anna Setton' and she is a Brazilian singer. If you're into that sort of sound, your interest will be satisfied! Beautiful voice.

This location is well-suited for hosting artistic events.

Great place to hang out during the day, get out of the sun, has lots of cafes and restaurants. Toilets and change rooms available. Night time events also. Just a place to hang out.

Creamy oyster, nice mezcal cocktail (well balanced , not too sweet), thick cut tuna and avo taco. Prominent location with great view and not exp, like!
