Plane Tree Cafe

Lovely new premises with a very atmospheric garden, and all the locals have followed them there. We usually go for the excellent mushrooms and other bruschette - it’s a brunch kind of place. Some good cakes and very good coffee, attentive service and David the owner is always keeping a watchful eye on things. A real ‘local’ in the best sense of the word.

I had my best ever sandwich with eggplant, salad and poached eggs here.

Last time came for lunch and enjoyed the toasted chicken sandwiches. This morning enjoyed a yummy breakfast with my family. We had the burrito with bacon, poached eggs on delicious toast with a side of avocado & bacon & an egg and bacon role. It had roates tomatoes and a nice homemade relish. The bacon is really tasty. Very nice hot tea and i ed long blacks. Very friendly and thoughtful service. Beautiful environment alongside Parterre. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want a relaxing tasty meal.

My first stop once I land in Sydney is always David’s cafe for a avo toast (order the one with feta and peas) and a coffee. It’s the Woollahra local for a reason. The food is great and it’s a nice place to sit and enjoy the day. The rest of the menu is great too, and often they’ll post a special on their Instagram. The amaretti at the counter are also to die for.

I would order a Greek style coffee of they offered it like the previous restaurant did at that location a few years ago.

Delicious breakfast and friendly service by the owner. I had the cloud eggs - scrambled egg whites on smashed avo, greens and sourdough - and it was delicious. Coffee was very good as well.

Love the new location on corner of Queen & Ocean Sts. The food remains excellent and well priced and service is always relaxed, helpful and generous. Favourite place for regular mid week catch ups with family/ friends and the new garden location makes you want to stay all day. Highly recommend the salads and fish cake special always delicious. Best place on Queen St to eat.

So yummy. Got scrambled eggs with sides of avo and bacon and mushrooms and the mushrooms were a stand out. Such a cute location and vibe too!

A somewhat surprising find. The decor probably needs a bit of a revamp, but the food is astonishingly good. You won't find eclectic twists in any of the dishes. These guys do the classics and they do them extremely well with fresh, quality ingredients. The Caesar salad is perfect. The tuna sandwich is faultless. Highly recommended.

This place is cozy with local crowds. Healthy and yummy choices with breakfast options and good music.

We really enjoyed the late breakfast (served up to 1.30pm). Tasty variety of options (that includes vegetarians and vegans). Well roasted and served coffee. Dog friendly as well. Looking forward to visiting again.

Great cafe, snuck in for a late lunch. The scrambled eggs alone are worth coming back for, plus the chorizo and sweet potato hash was all time. Good vibes all round.

Excellent food, generous portions (especially the rhubarb tart) and freshly made from quality ingredients. Service was extremely friendly – they even helped us out with an umbrella during a sudden downpour. Highly recommended!

The first cafe I stepped into after 4 years in London. Knew I was back in Oz after a superb egg and bacon roll and a coffee brewed like only a Sydney barista can brew.

When life give you lemons it also comes with peas, avocado, feta bruschetta and tastes so fresh and amazing! A great little cafe in Woollahra!
