BCD specialises in soft tofu (SoonDooBoo) soup and has been around for years - still going strong!

I had Kimchi pancake and Spicy pork BBQ and Tofu soup combo with mixed grain rice today. The combo meal is a good value. The potato salad side dish and radish dish was delicious!

It is a casual dining space also good for a small group or family.

Went right before the lunch break but they still let me order. The service was great and wait times for food were minimal. There was a great selection of side dishes, and the Spicy Chicken Bulgogi comes with a soup and rice. It should be noted that the soup isn’t hot enough to fully cook the egg yolk, so the yolk should be broken through stirring if that’s a preference.

Best Korean restaurant with a homey touch. Love their tofu that was so silky and flavourful. Soup was the bomb!

I ordered the seafood soft tofu. Its really really good 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I choose the special stone rice. Really nice. You can also move all rice to the bowl and soak the left over rice with the hot water to have their porridge/ rice tea. Their kimchi side dish also the best so far that I ever had. Will definetely come back.

Unbeatable value and taste at this unassuming Korean restaurant. I can't believe the prices... The prices would have been good about 5 odd years ago. The sides are generous and all the food is very fresh. I especially loved the bibimbap.

Real korean chefs, menu and staff. Loved the seafood green onion pancake, it was BIG like pizza size. Unexpected but many delicious side dishes provided as well no extra charge. I don't like spicy so didn't try some dishes but could eat the kimchi but not the tofu soup. Tried things never had before. I liked the seaweed side dish and thought I wouldn't ,it was suprisingly sweet We were the only non Koreans ( assuming by appearance and language spoken) in the place on a Thursday night and it was full. A good sign the food was authentic and it was. Mum, less adventurous had the teriyaki chicken with special ( red?) rice and my daughter the stone bimimbap. It really sizzled. We were all very full. Delicious. There was a red button to call the waitresses over. I had to press it lol. Reccomend. 3 dishes, drink and side dishes $70 good value too. Parking nearby was difficult. We went down a side street and walked 10 mins there. We needed the walk back we were so full.

We’ve been customers of this restaurant for a long long time, and the tofu soups have been consistently good. Galbijim was yum too. Pancake was super crispy!

Good amount of banchan, quick service and homey flavours. Can’t beat this.

Yummy food here. Last time we went was a few years ago but glad we returned. The food is consistently delicious. Ordered the veggie tofu soup and it comes with a generous serving of rice. The seafood pancake is especially delicious and you get a good variety of side dishes which really make the Korean dining experience!! Will definitely return again much sooner for some amazing soup!!! Love it.

Oh my oh my... I should have come earlier to this restaurant. 10 minutes walk from my place, it serves Korean foods. Nom nom... Reasonable prices. My favourite so far is the Bibimbap that’s served on a hot stone bowl. Generous condiments to accompany your meals. This is a new finding for me.

Great little place hidden away just off the main road. The price is decent and the food is good.
Space is limited and the service is a bit slow, but not too bad.
Only have tried one dish, need to come back for more.

Their signature is rice (special rice is as in photo with beans and stuffs) in a hot stone pot.

The correct way to eat is putting all the rice in a bowl and then pouring cold water in the stone pot so you can have the burnt rice later. However I chose to eat in the pot.
The soup is amazing. I like the flavor. I reckon beef or stripe or pork soup is a good choice. However they also have mushroom or veggie soup for vegetarian.
Price is affordable for a lunch time.
Side dish is amazing. However kimchi is a little bit disappointing (too salty)
They also provide egg so you can put it in the soup when it comes out and stir until it’s cooked.

I’m addicted to this place, so good and valuable. I ordered Chicken Teriyaki Set. The tofu soup is delicious, side dishes are amazing. Love this place:)

Old time lovable. Often a comfort food for me. This particular dish is mushroom based tofu soup. Done very well. That "nutritious rice," in the stone pot is very hearty. Beef, seafood pork, vege-based -- plenty of choices for anyone to enjoy. Their non tofu dishes fare quite well as well. Side note -- obviously a top class hangover dish.

One of the most authentic places I have been to. When I walk in, I might be the only non-Korean person eating there which says a lot to the quality. Their specialties are spicy Tofu soup and a side dish of 'special' rice. The special rice is purple rice with nuts and some other stuff hidden inside. The special rice is 100% worth the extra few dollars.

so many side dishes, and the soup may make the restaurant smell a little funny, but it is delicious. the staff are efficient, and the price is decent.

Great tasting Korean food. The tofu in the soup was so soft. The main dish, chicken, was tasty and well cooked. Would love to eat at this place again.

I think they have the best tofu soup and rice in Sydney. And the service is also good too!
