Fairy Cave - Buchan Caves

Good day out. Did both caves and they are very similar but worth a look. The tour guide is very informative and helpful. Small group which is good and lots of facts about different locations! Would recommend if in the area

Our tour guide was the best! She told us so many fun facts and really put the caves into perspective. It was cool to learn about the history of the cave and its discovery. The damage done by other tourists and people in the past is sad, but the Fairy Cave is still beautiful. I definitely recommend going as it's a great experience for the price. If you do go, make sure to read the information as no backpacks are allowed inside. Food and drinks (other than water) also aren't allowed. The walk was more difficult than the Royal Cave, and the humidity made it a little hard to breathe for me.

A totally amazing experience. So glad we visited. Great guide and some amazing formations. Highly recommend.

FAIRY CAVE HIGHLIGHTS

What I loved most about the Fairy Caves was the feeling of exploration! There were lots of sections that required ducking down and moving through narrow walkways. This is something to consider if you are not very nimble!

The Fairy Cave also has more steps than the Royal Cave. You have to lower your head to avoid collision with rocks.

So beautiful place must not leave the tour guide. It’s always 17 degrees Celsius inside the cave during all the year.

I visited this place two times. First time we on day one tickets were sold out then we booked tickets for next day. Holiday seasons are very busy here.

It’s good experience inside the caves.

Wonderful experience to see salt deposit structures,
Space are not much confined,on some area you need to just down your head only,
Overall its pleasurable experience to visit both fairy and royal cave.
You have to book tickets in advance before a day.
Buchan reserve also has a caravan park and bbq facilities with laundry and picnic area.
Overall fun..🥳

It was a good trip, the history of the cave was also interesting. Having an engaging tour guide helps as well!

The fairy caves really seem fairy with fairy dust and its uniqueness! Must visit!

We booked both the royal and the fairy caves. It is a must do when you are in the area. It feels surreal when you are down there, and after when they explain how deep you were, your jaw just drops. Graham was an amazing and very informative guide.

The caves are beautiful. They are easy unless you have back issues. Just about 4 sections have short passes at about 1.2m height. Good illumination. Staff was very good.

Great place for a family tour. Although it is mentioned it is more challenging than the Royal Caves, it is not so difficult to get in. The operator is very knowledgeable. The view is definitely stunning and worth a visit. Better to book in advance otherwise it can be very difficult to get a ticket during peak times.

We don’t often go and check out caves but when we do this is what we hope for, really amazing colours in the deposits, the guide was extremely knowledgeable and we learnt quiet a lot. Would go back!

You would be stunned by what nature can create. The carvings and designs created were so amazing that it looked man made. According to the guide they all are natural and made by water dropping from above over billion of years. Just imagining the timeframe makes me stun. The place is a must visit and you won’t be disappointed by what you see.

Nice beautiful caves. Can be a bit scary for infants and toddlers at first but they usually acclimatise well.

We bought 2 caves ticket but I think if you only want to visit one cave, you can skip this one, Royal cave is more beautiful than this. Overall Buchan is quite a nice tourist place.

Wonderful cave! But it's a pity that half of it were closed by the safety reason.

Great tour in the fairy cave. Interesting history told by the guide. The tour requires you to duck down in some of the smaller passages but the sparkling rocks are well worth the walk in. The maximum group size of 20 is fair but try and stay at the front of the group to make sure that you hear all of the information.

The kids loved it, they've learned quite a lot about how caves form and the scenery and setup was awesome, the guide is always open to answer questions, definitely a place to visit again, even plan a camp taken the area have over hundreds of caves

Well worth going. Tour guide was excellent and the caves are amazing!
