Red Lantern Vietnamese Restaurant & Private Dining Room

My wife and I had a great night in Red Lantern.The food were delicious,fresh,great presentation also had a lot different options for a la carte,feed me menu.we broth love the crab cakes,roasted beef salad,especially the wok tossed jumbo tiger prawns and shaking beef,so yummy.😋⭐👍
The service was excellent,the staffs so nice and warm hearted ⭐the atmosphere was charming and warm.
We definitely will be back soon.

My partner and I came here for dinner on a busy Saturday evening. We had a booking at 8:30pm, the place was busy throughout the evening until when we left at 11pm.

We had the Feed Me banquet menu. There were a total of 7 delicious, mouth watering and beautifully presented Vietnamese dishes. The food was full of flavours, every dish was tasty. I was even more impressed with the service: the lady who waited our table (a Western looking lady) was extremely pleasant, kind and attentive; she cleaned our table several times between courses (something I don’t normally see even in expensive fine dining restaurants). The atmosphere was very cozy, the restaurant was beautifully lit with warm light and the deco reminds you of old Vietnamese charm. A total winner from chef Luke Nguyen!

A really enjoyable dining experience. All the dishes were cooked beautifully and full of flavour. The service was wonderful. The restaurant was full but not noisy. We tried the specials and my favourites were the rice cakes and the prawn sugercane. We also tried the 3 desserts and they were spectacular. I am not a fan of Asian desserts but these were at another level.

I had an excellent time here with some colleagues from work as a gift from the company. The food was so tasty and staff were very accommodating. I highly recommend the cocktails and food. The entrees were so yummy!

Wait staff were very professional, courteous and attentive. Ambiance is relaxed and not pretentious (slightly loud at times but comfortable). Food is phenomenal with every dish being quite unique and very fresh. Many reasons to return to this place!

Had a private room set dinner for a friend’s birthday this week and was very impressed by the food quality and overall dinning experience. I was expecting the food to be too sweet for my liking but it wasn’t. The flavours were on the whole quite balanced, not too sweet or salty and quite delicious. The highlight for me was the blue swimmer crab cakes, the pan fried barramundi and the roast pork. We had a great time and happy to give this place a top review.

The dinner date with my wife was an absolute delight! The dishes were delish from the appetisers to the desserts. The quality of food is exceptional and service was great. I wasn't able to take photos of the food except for the dessert and cocktail coz I was too eager to eat the food right away. 😅

Wow! What a meal! Pricy, but you get what you pay for. One of the best meals we ever had, we will definitely be back. Cocktails were great too!

The banquet was full of dishes that were delicious, tasty, fresh and aesthetically pleasing. In a word... SPLENDIFEROUS. Thank you Red Lantern and our friend Rowena for booking us in.

To say I love this restaurant is an understatement. The food is so good it’s hurting my waistline. The cocktails are the bomb, the Pham Fatale in particular has me questioning my sobriety and the service and staff are magnificent, Adam’s great but if you’re lucky enough to have Mia then you know you’ll never want to dine anywhere else again and don’t even let me go there with the Chef’s because I think I’ve reached my total word count for reviews…

We are never disappointed when we come here. The food is always magnificent, and the service is wonderful.

It takes more than talent to survive in Sydney hospitality for over 20 years. Beyonnd delicious food and great service, Red Lantern keeps evolving to give me more of what I want. These days you can wander in for a street food snack and cocktail in the front bar, dine with friends in cosy Indochine booths, or grab a takeaway from the Crown Lane Drive Thru. Still the best ever salt & pepper squid and Chef Mark Jensen gives a great haircut at The Cut Barber Shop out the back too too!

Superb!! Not cheap but gorgeous dishes. And the service was also wonderful: informal but friendly & considerate.
I would strongly recommend the daily banquet. A good mix of different flavours and textures but also great value. 👍
Oh, probably not a good choice if you're not into spicy food.

We were very impressed with all aspects of Red Lantern. The food we ordered had an incredible depth of flavour and was perfectly cooked. The portion sizes were very generous. The service was courteous and efficient and the restaurant itself had lovely ambience. We will be returning!

Red Lantern is really a foodie paradise! There is so much to love about this place, it is hard to start. Either as a quick dinner or an event, the wonderful folk a Red Lantern always make you feel welcomed. Last couple of times we have done walk ins and they have done their best to help us... try the banquet... photos below are Scrumptiously Saigon... still talking about it 24 hours later!!!!

6 of us with various dietary allergies and preferences all had a wonderful eve. We had the banquet and all the dishes were interesting and tasty. The service was efficient , warm and friendly and the atmosphere lovely - highly recommend 😀

We enjoyed good quality and tasty Vietnamese food tonight. Table service was excellent. A bit noisy inside, but we got moved to an outside table. Really worth a visit as the the place has a great vibe.

Red Lantern is outstanding. We enjoyed the 5 course banquet in the private dining room. The food was exquisite (barramundi a highlight) and the service was perfect. Brilliant food happy staff. What more do you need? Six stars.

I wanted to thank you for a truly special and memorable evening last week at Red Lantern for my husband’s birthday. It was a wonderfully special night for my husband and all our friends. The food was delicious, the wines were magnificent, the private room was delightful, and the service was really out of this world. I cannot thank you enough for helping us create some fantastic memories that we will keep forever. I would also like to thank you for your support of Epilepsy Australia. It is such a worthwhile cause and it was so good for us to be able to celebrate at the same time as supporting them. I see that this week you have won a major award. Congratulations. It is well deserved. Once again, thank you to the whole team for the evening of a lifetime.

All the dishes we ordered were tasty and perfectly balanced. I especially enjoyed the sesame dumpling with black sesame ice cream for dessert. 😊

The cocktails are also good and the service is wonderful.
