Sagra Restaurant

Ed and the team at Sagra helped me host around 20 people for my birthday dinner. It went along seamlessly, with every one of my guests enjoying the food and wine.
Ed and staff were gracious and looked after us, we will for sure be back!

I loved the cute cosy atmosphere of this Italian restaurant and everything was so delicious. My friends and I ordered several dishes to share and got a cheeky red wine to pair 😋

My favourite dishes were:
- roasted fioretto, fonduta and pine nuts
- campanelle, black truffle & pecorino
- dark chocolate mousse (?)

Their menu appears to be seasonal, varying on a monthly basis. The service was friendly, attentive and fast. I think the only downside was the flickering light which was quite distracting.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others as it is a hidden gem tucked away next to Hyde Park 😇

This hidden gem of a neighborhood restaurant is an intimate and cozy place offering exceptional service and even superior cuisine. 👍
The only minor drawback may be the slightly slow food service, yet the high quality of the dishes more than compensates for it. 🫥

The Arancini was exceptionally prepared, featuring a wonderfully fried and crispy exterior, complemented by the gooey richness of aged mozzarella. 👍

The Parpadelle ragu was perfectly al dente, and although the sauce wasn't overly thick or heavy, it superbly coated each strand of pasta. 😋

Their smoked eggplant was also notably delicious. 😋

While the Tiramisu was of impressive quality – creamy and not overly doused with alcohol – it was the Pannacotta that truly stole the show.
The accompanying raspberry coulis was notably thick and tart, with the perfect touch of sweetness. 👍

The owner and chef mentioned, as we were settling the bill, that they had only added the Panna Cotta to their menu a few days prior – a decision we were utterly thankful for. 🙏

Side note - the owner disclosed that their menu changes almost daily, reflecting the availability and seasonality of produce.
This keeps their offerings fresh and exciting.

Delicious yummy food, so flavourful paired with a delicious red wine. Recommend the zucchini flowers and the Ragu. Great service and delightful restaurant vibe. It does get quite very loud inside (May just have been how many large groups there were) just to be aware if you are looking for an intimate setting.

Outstanding food. Attentive service. We were there tonight (a Friday) which was busy. I think they were down a staff member and The female waitress deserves a medal tonight - basically did a marathon in keeping up. Highly recommended for a date night or group of people. Desserts on the night were generous so split them up !!!

I could not recommend Sagra more for a private function! We hosted 35 people for a long lunch - the food was beautiful and Ed and the team were amazing. One of my new favourite restaurants 💞 thank you Ed!

Such a cute terrace, very chilled vibes and the food was delicious!

Came here for a dinner date and it was absolutely gorgeous. Both pastas we ordered were delicious, as was the lamb main and both desserts. Standouts for me were the pumpkin tortellini and the chocolate mousse.

The vibe was also really romantic and intimate. The eating area is small and dimly lit, and not too noisy even when every table is full. We really enjoyed eating here and hopefully will be back soon.

Oh my gosh, their pasta melts in the mouth! Their in-house chilli oil is also super on point!!! We ordered all four pastas on the menu and as a meat lover, I actually got so impressed by the pumpkin tortellini (best in Sydney we’ve encountered so far) and smoked eggplant cannelloni and preferred them better than the other two. Proper service!

Sagra really is as amazing as people say—if not more. For starters, the food is absolutely delectable. You can tell how skilled the chefs are, as well as how much love they put into each dish. I was truly impressed by how mouth-watering everything was, from the mains to the cocktails. The service is also impeccable, thanks to the friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive waitstaff. And finally, the ambiance is just right (at least for me). It’s refined but still warm, which is something quite rare to find when it comes to food of this high standard. All in all, Sagra is an absolutely beautiful dining experience. I can’t wait to come back! The team should be so proud of what a wonderful restaurant they’ve built.

Food was truly exceptional, service was super friendly and personal.

Atmosphere was cosy and intimate. I will definitely be coming back again.

I was informed that the menu is seasonal and uses fresh, local ingredients to bring out the best flavours in each dish.

Booking online was super easy, and it’s a small eating area so make sure you do book in as I saw people turned away at the door as there was no space.

An added bonus was that I was able to find street parking within a short walking distance from the restaurant too.

Haven’t even eaten yet but the waiter Solomon has been incredible. He’s so patient with my wine selections and seems genuine and good at what he does. Hope fully the owner of this restaurant can see it and let him know, Cus he’s amazing.

Never disappoints! I love the casualness and simple but high quality dishes, a small menu which changes often and has some amazing staples. The service is casual, I agree, but the people are incredible genuine. This isn’t a place to be seen but a place to enjoy good food and company and that’s just how I like it.

Shout out to Sienna! Busy night but she made sure we were well taken care of. 11/10 service :) Great food and vibes!

I stumbled upon this place with my partner, and it is such a gem. The food and cocktails were wonderful, however the staff were the real standout, being so lovely and accomodating, even on a busy Friday night. Cannot wait to visit again next time I’m in Sydney. Highly recommend the spiced negroni and gin martini!

This place is the perfect little Italian ristorante on a street-lit corner. The place and ambience is cosy, dimly lit for the perfect romantic occasion. The menu is well to highly priced but the pasta dishes are superb. The pasta is made fresh and cooked Al dente. The menu changes daily and the drink menu is respectable. The highlight was definitely the duckbreast. The service is friendly and we even got gifted free prosciutto at the slicer. Highly recommended.

Superb! Been here a couple of times, the service can’t get any better. Amazing food, wine and dessert. Definitely worth a visit. Good on you guys!

Warm, intimate, authentic Italian corner restaurant. The inviting, dimly lit setting is perfect for a romantic date or long overdue catch up with old friends. The staff are down to earth, friendly and genuinely friendly. As expected, they know their dishes well and can recommend a great dish to suit your taste. The steak was cooked to perfection with a delicious jus. The tiramisu was the perfect dessert to end a beautiful, flavoursome and authentic meal. I highly recommend this place and will come here again!
