As a regular, I can confidently say Yayoi Galeries has very friendly staff. I was assisted very well with everything I needed. As always, food's amazing.

We went here twice. The food and service are great. I was really impressed with the unagi and how fresh it was. Plus, there were no bones. They also include dashi to pour over it, which is something I've never seen before. It was a very nice addition to the unagi. We had spicy karage which was outstanding and so juicy. We had the gyoza both times because it was so good. We had the katsudon combo the second night that came with unagi, prawn, and tonkatsu. It had lots of flavor as well. The staff were very nice and attentive as well.

Impeccable service, and even though it felt like a compact fit, there was a space for everything. Food is delicious, meat juicy nice and tender. We had a set meal, which I had chicken with some type of tartare sauce, served with rice, muso soup. It has a nice welcoming vibe.

Really great experience here.
+All the staff are very courteous and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious and the noodles felt fresh. Left full, satisfied and warm. Will definitely come back here.
- The iPad had a glitch and kept switching back to Home menu screen randomly and made ordering a little difficult. Hopefully its fixed by our next visit.

Didn't get food poisoning. Menu was difficult to navigate, wish we had at least one hard copy, but an interesting concept considering my aversion to speaking to strangers ever since the incident. Strange to order free refills on the glass of water but hey, it's free! Pickled radish made me do a double-take but we got there in the end. Delicious rice bowl with pork and scrambled eggs. All things aside, the matcha ice cream was delicious. Both got the Pork Loin Katsu Toji-Don and it was the right choice.

Went on a Thursday night. Dinner for 2, no reservation. Put our names down, went for a geese around Muji, came back and our table was ready.
We sat side by side, which we didn't mind. Food was delicious, great sized portions and came out looking as it did on the touch screen menu (don't you hate to when you order food and it doesn't come out looking like the images?)
Chicken Katsu was super crispy and not oily. The curry sauce was great, loved that it was separated. Great dish to get if you’re unsure about curry!
Also loved that the sugar syrup for the other dessert was in a separate container so you add as little/much as you need!
Black sesame mochi had a red bean filling, so nice!
Everything was super efficient and speedy. Our mochi came out within a minute of me pressing ORDER.
They now have more veg options which weren't listed on their website! Very exciting about the extra veg dishes, will def be back.

Busy weekend lunch.

It's my first time eating soy hotpot. Beef slice is little overcooked. Soup base is plain, but with mild soy and milk taste.

Eel hitsumabushi is good. Eel is well-cooked and seasoned. Personally I just can't get used to mix dashi soup with rice.

Mocha dessert is normal...jelly is not chewy and tender. However, ice cream itself is pretty nice.

My younger son who is a student here brought us here on July 5, 2019, after 3 pm. We did our electronic orders and we all agreed the quality of food here is very nice. It was the first time my two sons and I had a meal in Sydney!

Perfect Japanese food! The taste is yummy and the environment is comfortable. When ordering, I thought that there was no rice in the meal, and ordered another rice was . The friendly restaurant supervisor also specially reminded that there was rice in the meal and asked if there was any additional need.

Amazing food, although it is a little pricey. There's a lot to choose from in the menu, and everything we ordered were great! Service was really good too. There tends to be a long line and they won't seat you if not everyone is there so keep this in mind.

Tried Tofu sukiyaki which is in the new menu. It is very tasty and reasonable price. Nice portion. For other food still good also.

Finally got around to trying this. I'm a big fan of Yayoi-ken in Japan so was hoping for something similar.

Wasn't disappointed, it was fairly similar but obviously not the same.

Would still dine here, the food is great for what it is, and no compliants about the service.

Authentic tasting quality Japanese dishes with great service. Prices are fair for this upscale restaurant at $20-$30. Meals are a bit small in portions but is quick to be delivered. Decor is very modern with LCD panels on each table for orders. Great place for couples I would say.

Good food as always. We tried the soy milk hot pot which was delicious! Also tried the black sesame mochi and natto which were ok. The natto is definitely an acquired taste.

Food is amazing as always. Love the chicken/salmon namban, agendashi tofu, kare, and last time tried the wagyu don.

Last time i visit feel a bit strange about the service. The waitress gave us 2 set (2 wagyu donburi) in a tray, and asked us to divide it by ourself. I thought, because we were sat in the corner and sit a bit crowded. But, other dish come in a same way. Just a bit strange if i want to compare with other branch before. Maybe the staff still need little bit trainned.

But overall, always love the food.

Fantastic dining experience, service was very professional and accommodating.

Everything we had was crisp, fresh and delicious. I will be returning here in the future without hesitation. (The karage is to die for)

This food wasn't good. IT WAS AMAZING. Tried many other udon restaurants, and they were pretty much the same, but this was stunning! The food was amazing, and displayed professionally. The soup was very unique and different to the other restaurants, and was soo good. Definitely recommend the wagyu upon. Everything was perfect!

I ordered the Yayoi Gozen Set and not dissapointed. It is expensive but it does come with a lot of kind of dishes and really quality oriented.
Salmon sashimi is fresh, the katsu is cripsy and tender, teriyaki sauce on point for me, wagyu is good as well. at first, I thought the serving looks small but at the end it was quite filling. And then if you order set it is Free if you need extra rice apparently
service also good and friendly
