Amazing experience staying at the weilhouse vintage farmstay. Leaving the city chaos for belligen was well worth it. Loved waking up to the sounds of roosters and not my alarm clock. Highly recommend if you are looking to disconnect and be in nature. Susan was super accomodating as well and hearing her story of creating the houses is very inspiring. As someone in the creative industry I’m feeling recharged and ready to create my best work.

We had such a wonderful and relaxing time at WeilHouse Living.
2a and 2c (6 and almost 3) stayed in the Vintage Farmstay - it was comfortable, quirky and peaceful. The outdoor bath was a big hit for our girls.
We took great delight in feeding the chickens each morning. They would greet us and lead us up the hill to the feeding spot. The horses, goats and single sheep were lovely to meet too.
The location is perfect for a stay in Bellingen. 5 mins easy drive to town, which made it close to access but far enough away to feel like we were in the middle of nowhere.
Bellingen itself has so much to offer, we loved swimming in the Never Never and visiting the waterfalls in Dorrigo.
Perfect place to stay and thanks to Susan and her girls for making it such a memorable experience for us.

Wow, if you’re looking for a true disconnect, immersed in nature, this is the place. A great eye for rustic gorgeous decor, goats, chickens, horses, views and the most laidback host, willing to meet and provide anything you need, it’s a true pleasure. Comfortable, clean but overall, a place to unwind, be still and slow down

Our family of four had a truly magical time staying at the Farm Shed. It is perfectly located, so beautiful and quiet and the kids had an absolute ball! We loved the indoor outdoor feeling of the shed and the rustic charm of it all. The kids especially loved interacting with and feeding the animals. Susan was a wonderful host and gave us many great recommendations for swimming spots, activities and places to eat. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for a beautiful experience!

Our weekend away at Weilhouse living was so divine! Gorgeous surrounds, super clean and loved the attention to detail around the whole property. Was so lovely to engage with animals ranging freely about the property. We really appreciated the clear instructions on how to navigate our way around a working farm. The host was friendly and clearly has such passion for not only her property but also our comfort and convenience. She made sure that all our needs were met and we in turn could enjoy this amazing property. We loved the home grown fresh food and the chance to pick some yummy fruit ourself. We will definitely be back for another dose of relax and revitalise! Thanks Susan :)

We had a brilliant time at WeilHouse staying in the Vintage FarmStay home. We were warmly welcomed by Susan and her family, and had just a wonderful relaxing stay amongst the beauty and animals of the farm. It's very child friendly, the home equipped with everything needed, including lovely outdoor spaces and and fun outdoor bath. We were welcome to roam the farm and orchards, which we did every day. Highly recommended for anyone wanting some time out of the hustle and bustle of normal life.

My partner and I stayed at the Vintage Farm Stay for 2 nights and it was a delight! We could have easily stayed for much longer. The house was very cosy, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed walking around the farm and playing with the funny farm animals (shout out to Wendy the chicken). Susan is a very welcoming host. We loved our stay and will be back.

From the genuinely warm welcome on arrival I knew I was in for the most brilliant few days staying at the Farm Shed on the Weilhouse property.

Susan has so lovingly crafted the most special place, and I’m glad that she’s opened it up to share with us.
The accommodation was so charming, comfortable, clean and rose up to greet you the minute you walk in.

Waking up to the sounds of birds, bathing under the stars, enjoying a slowing of pace and being reminded how peaceful life can be without a TV or Wifi was a prompt to finding ways to bring that calm back with me to the city.
I had the opportunity to check out all of the accommodation options on the property and can genuinely say that all of them are superb - I chose the Farm Shed because I loved the idea of having a fireplace I could see from bed, but am excited to try the others when I go back.

It’s far enough away from town that you’ll see nothing but trees and mountains and only hear the faint sounds of the stream at the edge of the property of an evening, but close enough that you can get to Bellingen in less than 10 minutes on fully sealed roads (Susan will happily get you up to speed on where the great food, coffee, produce etc is).
The kitchen is so fully equipped, if you wanted to do a grocery shop and bunker down for the entire stay you absolutely can - we cooked scones, made smoothies and had a BBQ!

If you’ve made it this far through my review and still have questions about whether you might want to stay, my advice would be - keep reading more reviews, you’ll see how wonderful this place is and if that doesn’t do the trick give Susan a call - she’s as warm and delightful as the place she’s so carefully curated for us to enjoy.

Beautiful setting and so close to the shops, although you feel like a million miles away from anything.
The house is authentic and we loved the fact it takes children into account. There were lots of books and toys to explore. Our 2 year old was so excited every morning to go and feed the chickens and say hello to the other animals. Beautiful area with plenty to explore from rainforest hikes and waterfalls, hidden swimming holes and beautiful, quiet beaches all within a 30 minute drive. Susan was incredibly accommodating. We'll certainly be back and recommend it to our friends! Thank you for a fantastic holiday, for adults and kids alike.

Susan is a wonderful host, her beautiful wild acreage is tucked away from the world and very peaceful. My mum and I stayed in the Vintage Farm Shed, which was amazing. Every single piece of furniture, down to the tiniest utensils in the kitchen are completely vintage making everything there an absolute work of art. Thanks for sharing an amazing foodie paradise with us on the grazing tour, Susan, we will most certainly be coming back.

We spent four nights at WeilHouse Living's Hernani Hut in the New England Tablelands and loved every single minute of it. The adventure of it, the much longed for remoteness, utter beauty and serenity of the place were fantastic, and the hut in itself was a joy - beautifully set up, extremely comfortable and cosy with everything you could want. The children had a wonderful time - watching the cows, helping cut wood and making the fire every evening, playing totally free in the safe garden. We cooked delicious meals in the wood-fired oven and fell asleep gazing at the stars through the large windows. It is easy too to get an ample selection of provisions in Dorrigo. We enjoyed daily hikes in the surrounding national parks through enchanted Gondwana rainforests, swam in local rock pools, and ate delicious smoked trout from the local trout farm under Susan's gorgeous old pear tree in the garden, with a chilled bottle of white wine. The perfect way to bring in a new year. Nobody wanted to leave. Thank you very much Susan for creating a beautiful and generous space with such a small footprint on the planet.

This was a great farm experience and I would highly recommend. It gave our 2 young boys a chance to meet, feed and see friendly farm animals which we don't get to see at home. We stayed in the shed and I especially liked how some luxuries were left out such as having a TV and replaced by things such as having a combustion stove in the kitchen and a fireplace by the bed. I found the vintage styling of the space inspiring and it reminded me that I don't always need to buy things new. This farm is only a few minutes to Bellingen and an easy drive to some of the great tourist attractions of the area.

No matter if you stay in the Farm Shed, Vintage Farmstay or Farmhouse, your time at Weilhouse Living will gift you with the ultimate reset. We've spent time in all 3 accommodations, and for me it's the rustic, creative yet comfortable qualities that I enjoyed most. It instantly feels a home away from home, where simple pleasures are remembered and valued - whether it be the old vinyl turntable to listen to records while you cook, or lighting a fire for a cosy night in with board games, or the tucked away vintage outdoor bathtubs where you can see and hear the farm and nature all around you. I even enjoyed washing dishes in these kitchens! Truth! Our children totally loved waking up in the mornings to say hello to the sheep, goats, chickens and horses. To have all of this just a 5 minute drive from charming Bellingen is ideal. We just need to experience Hernani Wilderness Hut now! We recently stayed in Susan's 'Farm Shed' property and it was just beautiful. The accomodation looks exactly like the photos - if not better in reality, with chickens and horses walking past the front door. The fresh air, serenity and farm atmosphere was just what we needed! Susan is a lovely and genuine host. From the moment I made my booking, she was fantastic to communicate with and gave great recommendations for restaurants and live music spots in town. Just 5 minutes from Bellingen township, Susan's property could not be located in a better position; close enough to wander the town but far enough away to retreat to complete country living. The Farm Shed has a rustic, homely feel (which we absolutely loved) and was very clean as well as comfortable. Would most definitely come back again. Thank you Susan!

Great farm stay, kids loved feeding the super friendly animals. It was amazing seeing the free range chooks cruise around the property, the basket of eggs and fruit were delicious. Would recommend to families with young kids.

Our family travelled from Brisbane and Sydney for a Covid catch-up at this amazing farmhouse. The ambience is reminiscent of the TV series “Green Acres” where the sublimely rustic house, inquisitive chickens and aroma of wood fires transport you from city chaos to country tranquility.

This is the best and most relaxing time our family has had in the country. Our stay was enhanced by the genuine hospitality and consideration of Susan who sealed our decision to return to this peaceful paradise.

The farmhouse we stayed in is very beautiful and thoughtfully set up. Fantastic views across the lush valley and it was fun to be on a farm. We are a family of 5 and stayed for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year. We all had comfortable beds and could relax. We enjoyed walks along the river, canoeing, swims at Dangar Falls and a trip to Valla Beach. Thank you Susan for being a great host.

Absolutely loved my stay at Weilhouse Living! Super friendly owner (Susan) where no request was too much trouble... Rustic charm, chilled out vibes, no detail spared, and just an amazing property with insane views over the valley. Gorgeous morning birds to wake up to, friendly chickens, sheep and goats. Perfectly positioned: just far out enough from Bellingen to feel remote, but not too far out, in that, a 'quick trip' into town is still super easy. If you're looking for a time out from busy city life you'd be hard pressed to find somewhere better to put your feet up and recharge and remember the important things in life! Thank you Susan!

My sisters and I stayed 4 nights at the Vintage Shed to celebrate a 60th and were delighted with its quirky decor and cosy vibe. It has everything you require for a memorable stay including an outdoor bath with a view!
Bellingen is only minutes .We had a lovely time and Susan was so helpful. Would highly recommend.
