Last night I had the pleasure of attending Jon and Sarah's wedding at Dalwood Estate with my friend Dan.

After the charming ceremony at MUC and subsequent visit to the Bikesmith Cafe (See Dan's review for details), I was doubtful that the evening could get much better. Oh how wrong I was.

Upon arrival me and my friend Dan made short order of 2 ice cold coronas. EACH. We then promptly made our way down to the grass velodrome where me and my friend Dan both chose a lane and raced each other to the halfway point. After Dan took an early lead, I made up some lost ground on the inside lane for a tight win (see photo finish).

After returning inside me and my friend Dan inspected the seating arrangements for the night and made a few adjustments (see updated seating plan). This landed me on the best man's seat and my friend Dan in the groom's seat. Unfortunately Jon and Chris missed the memo and declined to sit in their allocated seats upon request. Venue could use some tighter security.

To my delight the entree was served promptly. I made sure to leave plenty of room for the main course, only to later find out that was it - bar a small cupcake toward the end of the night.

The MC gave the first speech (and several subsequent speeches). Some people thought he liked the sound of his own voice too much but I thought he was sorta funny. Personally, I would've cut down on the speech time. I understand this is no fault of the venue.

Dan's girlfriend (Kim) was (allegedly) drunk (see the attached result of field sobriety test conducted at the venue). This meant me and my friend dan had to leave a bit earlier to ensure she got home safely.

One regret was not dancing on the chairs / tables as requested by the venue. A must for next time.

P.S Sorry for the delay in the review. I had a tutoring lesson this morning and then went to the shops (See ALDI Greenhills review for more details)

Very nice and secluded place if you want to have a nice wedding. The food and wine were awesome.

We had breakfast in Mr Busby's. Baked eggs n black beans and the Rubin... both were great and i couldn't pick my favourite. After looking at (and buying) some art we tried the wines and they have a great selection of single varietal and regional blends to suit everyone.
Well done to everyone and we look forward to when the Seasonal dinners start again.

Took the family out for lunch, noticed they had the smoker going so tried the Reuben sandwich... fantastic - if I'm ever on death row I'm requesting this as my last meal. Nice grounds and the big old buildings are lovely. Worth the drive out there.

Pro
* excellent view of the vineyard , massive ! and you can walk around the vineyard and the tree covered footpath.
* plenty of parking , at hunter valley i guess there are lots of space around lol
* Food is excellent, you really do get what you pay for , although I think they give you way too much ! everytime we order we always have lots of left over, the main comes with "side dishes" which are actually the portion as the mains, so yeah... portion too generous....
* Wine is average, nothing too unique or out of the ordinary, but it is pleasant smooth lunch time drinking wine and its not very expensive.

Con
* Hard for my garmin and tomtom GPS to find, wyndham estate is off on its own away from the main group of vineyards so it can be hard to find.
* meal portion size way too generous.... so we tend to eat way too much in an attempt to finish everything. Side dishes are same as main, a lot !

A very disappointing and tired old winery. So much potential if a little TLC was given. Decent wine though and very nice grounds for the kids to run around.

Shame on you for letting fireworks off on sat night at your Dalwood venue , neighbours were not notified and you but horses at nearby properties , this is unsatisfactory and in lawful.horses have died in the past to firewood displays from your property at Dalwood.
