We visited Mudgee during the holidays and got a little disappointed as most of the stores were closed. So on our way to finding somewhere else to do wine tasting, we found this cute little store and walked in with no expectations at all!

We were welcomed by Johnnie Furlong who happened to be the owner of the store. I haven’t tried any wine tasting before but Johnnie definitely set the bar too high in terms of the overall wine tasting experience. He made us feel comfortable during our whole stay and got entertained by his singing.

We tasted all our wine preferences and definitely fell in love with every sip! Price point was comparably cheap too given the experience you get! Absolutely recommended!

This is an experience. See Lindy if possible, she is delightful.
A great representation of small winemakers, who often have been long experienced wine makers for "big" brands.

The tasting was amazing as was the knowledge learned about these winemakers. Get here and buy up big.

Will definitely be back!!

Everyone here is welcoming and knowledgeable. The tastings are not rushed and there is such a good variety of wines! Ultimately we walked away with a sweet pink bubbly, some golden white tawny and rum tawny ports. The staff were able to pick wines to our liking from their selection.

Lovely tasting centre with the happiest, welcoming gentleman serving that we have come across. That's without mentioning the smoothest ports I've ever tasted. They also have some interesting sauces!

The best of the best! We walked in with no expectations, and the service was amicable, making us comfortable from the get-go and fitting us in. Johnny was awesome with his great knowledge of the local wines, as well as his singing. We loved every minute of it and enjoyed every wine he had to offer!

We're good friends with the singing wine maker Johnny, when ever we drive through Mudgee this is a must stop by.
The variety of wine and tawny's is outstanding and prices quite reasonable too the old shed gives it a certain feel of old fashioned country comfort. Ask to try the Whiskey Tawny and the White Tawny once you've finished trying the whites and reds.

Simply great wine, great atmosphere and value for money.

We arrived as a large group without a booking and they were happy to have us, which is unusual for post pandemic Mudgee. They were friendly and helpful and even recommended other wineries to visit. We also bought half a dozen bottles each because we liked what we tasted.

The best wine tasting experience of all. John Furlong has to be the most welcoming, knowledgeable and gracious host ever!! The wines are wonderful and the afternoon tasting was memorable.

A must if you're wanting to taste the best of what Mudgee has to offer, and even some of the surrounding region. The guy hosting the tasting was friendly and entertaining and gave lots of background on the wines and local history. We spent about 2 hours there and came away with more wine than we've ever bought in Orange, The Hunter or the Barossa Valley in a whole weekend. Love it!

We walked to this rustic wine tasting centre from town and really enjoyed talking to James about the wines as well as drinking them of course! We tried some really delicious whites and ports and ended up having a mixed case shipped home. Highly recommend for a relaxing afternoon stroll from town with rewarding wines at the end.

Great little place to find those hidden gems not normally tasted. And James was very witty with great stories and knowledge of the local area.

Mudgee Small Winemakers Centre is a great little winery with a great selection of wines and ports.Johnny Furlong is a character, professional, helpful, friendly and he knows his wines and ports. Johnny has a great sense of humor and is always up for a chat and a joke or two. I always get my port from Mudgee Small Winemakers Centre, trading hours are from 10am to 5pm seven days a week with wine and port tasting. I would recommend Mudgee Small Winemakers Centre for great wines and ports at a reasonable price.
Prices $$ to $$$.

Good place to get flavours from a variety of smaller vineyards. Tours of the region's wineries available here.

If you have only one winery to visit, this is it! Johnny is a legend! I wish I had taken more photos, but it's the experience!

Mudgee Small Winemakers cellar door has to be one of the best in the district. Really great, unknown but delicious wines can be tasted and purchased at
a really reasonable price. Johnny Furlong is a wonderful host and bon-vivant with a great voice as well. Make sure you make this a cellar door stop when you visit Mudgee.

Our first port of call on my birthday last Thursday. Hard to leave this place, Johnnies hospitality, kindness, and very talented singing gave us an experience we will never forget. Unbelievable wines, ports, and a sensational Pink Cuvee which comes highly recommended. we will definitely be dropping in again and an order for a case of cuvee is on the cards.
