Dr Guy Davies Evaluation

A recent assessment of Dr Guy Davies on the Maxim St Hub website prompts me to post as follows:

Many years ago on observing Dr Davies caring interaction with his patients I asked him if he would be my doctor should the need arise.

Fifteen years later I became Dr Davies’ patient. He has now been caring for my medical needs for eight years.

Dr Davies does endeavour to treat within the boundaries of the appointment time as this benefits all of his patients.

In consultation with Dr Davies I am impressed with his patience, caring, diagnostic skills and willingness to refer patients when necessary. Dr Davies recognises that his patients frequently have personal anxieties related to their medical condition. His empathy for them is apparent.

Dr Davies capacity to conduct very private examinations at the same time as respecting personal privacy is remarkable.

In conclusion, I respect Dr Davies both as a clinician and as a person. I frequently recommend him to other people as the need arises.

Best ever! Dr Rosanna Chan most patient and knowledgeable dr I have come across! Kind and professional! Highly recommend her as family doctor and dr for parents to be! The staff here are also all very friendly! The whole package ❤

One of the last few health centres / Doctors that actually care about their patients!
They do offer some bulk bill but only to select people, check their website.
But I'm happy to pay the appointment fee when the service is 11/10.
From reception, where there's always been 3 people every time I've been here and they are polite and provide great customer service, through to the Doctors who actually do a thorough health check and are genuinely kind and caring.
I couldn't fault them at all. Keep up the great work guys 👌

Friendly receptionists as well as the best doctor I have met, Dr. Junny Mar! He is kind and will give you very detailed explanations with all the questions you have! Very caring! I will recommend this medical centre to anyone who is looking for the best medical team!

I was a patient here about 10 years ago, rang through to acquire some information and spoke with a very pleasant woman named Emma. Emma was extremely helpful, polite and kind.

Our experience with Maxim Street Health Hub (West Ryde) was exceptional. My partner needed to see a doctor last weekend due to bad cough. I couldn't be more grateful as my partner is feeling so much better now. Good doctor? Caring doctor? That's Dr. Jenny Jiang! And oh, Emma at the front-desk was lovely too!

This practice is run beautifully and I saw Dr Anna Pick today for the first time and she is so utterly professional and patient, so caring and she listens to everything that you need to say. She is utterly 5 Star.
Dr Kuzulugil was an amazing GP as well.
She has left the practice, but, was so wonderful to myself and my children for many years.
Dr Anna Pick is a very caring GP and I am very fortunate to have her as my new GP.
The receptionists are first class in friendliness and care.

My family and I have been patients of Maxim Street Family Practice for many years, without GP recently retiring. It could have been a stressful time, picking and getting to know a new GP, but this process ended up being a smooth transition to other Drs in the practice. Dr Alan Chain and Dr Brendan Wong, amongst others when they are not available, have been wonderful and have taken over from our much loved retired GP.

Great doctors and great reception staff. Booking is also very easy and convenient through their app. As an adult you have to pay (kids are bulk billed during the week), but it does make for a notably better service.

Having been to another medical practice in West Ryde, Maxim Street Family Practice is like the proverbial chalk and cheese.

The staff are very friendly and professional. The premises are immaculate. You are not kept waiting after your designated appointment, which is often the case with most medical practices I have experienced.

My experience with Dr Brendan Wong has always been positive, as was the one today with Dr Allan Chain. They do not hurry you, but make you feel like a valued patient.

After moving from Maroubra to Ryde a couple of years ago, I began looking for a new GP. I am so grateful to have found Dr Camilla Holt. She is a wonderful doctor! Knowledgeable, considerate and patient. I've also seen Dr Joon Kwon when Dr Holt was unavailable and he was very kind and non-judgemental especially when discussing some sensitive issues.
The reception staff are very friendly and pathology nurses are also incredible. I have hard-to-find veins so many times nurses have struggled to draw blood for testing. Haven't had this happen since coming to Maxim Street Family Practice, very capable staff all round!

Charlie thought Dr Chain’s vaccination technique was wonderful. Thanks for making it easy to get a 5 year old vaxxed.

I can’t recommend this practice enough! I came in to see Anupreet in a bad way and left feeling so much better . She’s so professional and sweet . Best doctor i’ve seen in ryde !!

Wonderful service and very caring attitude from everyone right from the ladies at the reception to the Doctors. Want to specially mention Doctor Victoria Bayer, who has gone out of her ways to help us get an appointment with a paediatrician for my son, who needed urgent attention. The people at reception has called us multiple time, checking with us if we have been able to get the appointment. Want to thank you guys for the wonderful work you are doing and please convey our thanks to Doctor Victoria.

I would like to leave a very positive review for this practice. I have attended Maxim Street for over 20 years and have watched it go through a number of changes. All the ladies on the front desk are so courteous, caring and professional. The current covid climate is challenging to say the least. Recently, I have needed to make several phone calls with regards to vaccinations etc and each and every time, I am met with an extremely calming and lovely spoken voice on the other end of the phone. So, a big shout out and thank you to all the staff that run the front desk. This area, I believe, is one of the most important roles in a surgery, as it is the first port of call - a window if you like, to the overall practice. So thank you and keep up the wonderful work you are doing.

Got my COVID vaccine at Maxim St and I can tell the practice is a well-oiled machine. Very efficient and I was in and out of there quickly. The staff were super friendly, especially Wendy, who gave me the vaccine. She explained the process clearly and alleviated any fears I had. Highly recommend this medical practice.

My wife and I have been attending Maxim St Family Medical Practice since 2018. What has kept us coming back is the level of knowledge, exemplary care and follow up of the various doctors and nurses who have attended us. Also worthy of mention is the great customer service provided by the admin team. Highly recommended!

This is by far the best medical centre in the West Ryde area. It's quite family friendly. As all the doctors we came across in this practice are knowledgeable and friendly, we tend to see different doctors depending on their availability.The reception staff is always friendly and helpful. The waiting room is always immaculate, comfortable and nicely decorated. Highly recommend it!

Dr Victoria Beyer at Maxim St would have to be the most caring thorough GP I have ever had. She treated myself and my family with such care and genuine interest. Thank you for looking after us! Would highly recommend attending this practice. The staff are incredible and will do anything to help you.

Dr Phoebe Kimura is by far the best GP I have ever been to. She is highly knowledgeable, empathetic and explains things very clearly. She always took her time to listen to my concerns and provided the appropriate advice. I no longer live in West Ryde so don't go to this medical practice but I wanted to write a review to say thank you for all the care and treatment I received from her in the past. Thank you very much Dr Kimura and the team.
