Cafe Dolcetto

On a road trip and recalled a cool roadside cafe about ten K’s from Yass… closed! So, off to Yass town drive through to glimpse a cafe to stop at… seems we chose well and it was fortuitous as we chose Cafe Dolcetto.

Several tables with umbrellas lining the path, opened the door to most pleasant aroma’s.
It was nice and cosy inside with essentially three indoor areas and another enclosed outside in the rear with heaters if required and nicely set up too.

A clearly visible sign directed us what to do… find a table, check the menus then come to the counter and order, so we did just that. There’s also a QR code order option.

Back to order at the counter and ordered a smashed avo and to swap out the egg for mushroom and no feta. Another was bruschetta with avo and mushrooms.

Then ordered a almond chai and almond late.

The lad who took the order was great.. obviously a family run business and with the right attitude towards service.

Not long after we sat down again, one of the staff.. maybe a chef(?) came to check one order. The bruschetta comes with feta and would I like to not have it. I found that really thoughtful because she caught on that the other dish was without feta.

The meals and coffees came out in a timely manner but included with the cutlery were steak knifes for the bread/toast. I have found that It’s rare for a cafe to do that. We normally have to get up, go to the counter and ask.

The meals were great, coffee & chai too.

Whilst typing this out, one of the lads had a little dustpan and walked around cleaning and now I see him looking around to see if anything else needs to be done.

I don’t normally write a war and peace of a review but credit where credit is due.

Bottom line, I’d return in a heartbeat and will tell others.

A copy and warm cafe with some of the friendliest staff I have ever met. Service is fast and food is well portioned. Love their hot chocolate! Came with 2 marshmallows! 😍

Great cafe - fast friendly service, very good coffee and delicious pancakes. Very nice seating area in the back garden.

They got me with tea brewed with tea leaves in a pot. I have been to a lot of places that focus so much on coffee, that they forget there are tea drinkers as well out there. It's not difficult but I wish some baristas would take not that putting a tea bag into a cup of hot water after the milk has been poured is not how you make a cup of tea. The food was also great. I had a delicious bacon and egg roll. It's a popular place for locals and the staff know all their names but also a great stop off for tourists with easy parking most of the time.

Cute little café that packs well-above its weight when it comes to the quality of its food. Food came out quick with the brilliant service from the staff. This place also has a QR code that allows you to order on your phone if you're feeling introverted and don't want to go up to the counter.

Awesome little cafe in Yass with great food and service. Steak sandwiches were very tasty and filling. Had the try the salty caramel tart. Couldn't finish it as we were too full. Totally recommend this little treasure when in Yass.

We chose Greek and a Caesar salad for lunch. Good food, coffee, service, pricing, atmosphere.
Like many places in town, this is not friendly for wheelchairs, prams, walking frames.

Have been here countless times and thank goodness it's here!

I've tried to like other cafes here in Yass - Traders, Galutzi, Thyme to Taste, the Yass cafe. Each of them have 1 or 2 inviting features.
Dolcetto is where you are made to feel like family.

Today the cafe is staffed by many juniors, all of whom are respectful, proud of their work, hard working, never too busy to smile and treat you as a priority.
Great teamwork.

And this is why I look forward to Saturdays.

A wonderful cafe! Welcoming staff, good choice of food for breakfast and great coffee. Open at 6.30am for all the early starters in Yass and those passing through.

Stopped into this cafe for breakfast on our way to Sydney and again upon our return. Coffee was great. Service very friendly; excellent. Across our experience we enjoyed eggs benedict, egg and bacon roll, special cheesey scrambled eggs with bacon, ham and cheese croissant and pancakes with berry compote, maple and ice cream- all delicious and very good portions.

First of all, I almost want to give this cafe 5 stars just for giving me a steak knife to use because Lord knows I hate it when I’m expected to cut through hard sourdough toast with a butter knife!
In all seriousness though, I used to walk past this cafe and never went in for some reason and now I regret every single one of those times!
The service is great, food tasty, coffee delicious and you don’t walk out hungry like you do at a lot of cafes.
I’ll definitely be back 🙂

A lovely quaint cafe everything is nicely presented and looks very inviting.the service was friendly and efficient the cappuccino was delicious.we will come here in for a stop over.

We were passing through Yass and came here a few minutes after they closed without realising, a very nice lady offered to make toasties because that would still be on. The toasties we’re amazing and coffee aswell. All the staff are so nice, highly recommend this little cafe for a good feed and coffee

I stopped in with a friend for lunch on our way from Sydney back to Melbourne and had a delicious meal.
The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly.

Unassuming little cafe…and outstanding food and service! Family feel just like you’d want a delicious breakfast to be.

Cafe Dolcetto is a gem of a place. The menu is simple, but with plenty of nice options. Food is always cooked well and in plenty, but the service is amazing. In a town with several excellent cafe options, Dolcetto stands out with their delightfully friendly staff and super fast service.

Probably the best vanilla cappuccino I've ever had in Australia. I didn't buy any food but it looked incredible!
