Josh's Cafe

One of the best and most friendly restaurants you could visit on the Southern Highlands.
It was a *locals" night (Thursday) with their friends, we were mere travellers and welcomed by staff as though we were friends also.
Head of house, waiting staff and open kitchen treated us like we were regulars.
Food
Blue swimmer crab cakes shared, with a mayo and chilli dressing with greens, tangy and tasty.
Mains
My wife had slow cooked shredded Bungandore lamb with Greek cheese infused bechamel sauce, wow.
I had veal with lemon infused mustard sauce, at least 7 or 8 layers of finely cut and grilled veal, a big meal, tender and tasty.
Good wine selection, nothing overpriced.

Charming cafe in the centre of Berrima. Calamari was so tender & my partner liked his lamb skewers with harissa. The service was very personable.

great spot for a family lunch. Had a 3 course meal and the portions were perfect…as was the food and service!!! Can recommend any dish on the menu. Will be back for sure.

Stopped in for a cuppa and scones. Delicious, and the jam was locally made. The cream was heavenly and double thick. Lots of places to sit inside and things to look at. The service was quick and friendly. Definitely worth the time.

Absolutely first class eclectic menu, well proportioned with excellent flavours. Well worth the detour off the highway. Don't miss this hidden gem on the southern highlands.

Lovely, cozy friendly little restaurant, with of course delicious food.
Garlic prawns are sensational. Beef briskets and chilli mayo that night for the main exceptional. Would love to come back and try other dishes. Very nice place.

Josh is a superb chef! We love this restaurant and go there when we travel between Sydney and Canberra. This time we really loved the mushroom risotto, veal, prawns and pork belly. It was so pleasant sitting in the garden.

We were very lucky to get a table on Sunday for lunch by calling that morning. I forgot the zucchini puffs with yoghurt sauce were so delicious. Charming service.

Great family lunch yesterday. The team are always so much fun and really create an awesome vibe. True pros. The food is always amazing and I can’t seem to go past the veal. Desserts are also killer. Love coming here when in the highlands.

Despite the name, it's a restaurant, not a greasy spoon. A delightfully eclectic menu with a slight eastern Mediterranean feel. Been before; will be going again.

Josh's Cafe came highly recommended and our group was very satisfied. We were 4 with a baby, and there was plenty of space in the cafe due to social distancing. Food was phenomenal - my partner and I shared the duck confit and beef brisket and could not fault these dishes. Highly recommend this place.
