Absolutely delicious Japanese food set in a true izakaya atmosphere. As it’s owned by the same group who looks after Nakano Darling and Yakitori Yurippi, you know the food is high quality and delicious! Highly recommend the tonkatsu curry - absolutely scrumptious.

The most lovely gal was working (both serving and making the food) and was so accommodating. They even sell some Japanese homeware, handmade earrings, etc. (bring cash for this). A beautiful way to spend an evening (or Sunday lunch) if you want some yummy Japanese food! 😍 Everyone should know about this wonderful spot 💕

すごい?! I never expected to find an authentic Japanese standing bar in Crows Nest, but that's literally what Tachimomi is with one exception: being in Australia there are chairs for people to sit down instead of stand. Serving light Japanese bar food with happy hour draft beer and good saké menu. 乾杯!

Gorgeous interior and lovely staff. The menu was varied and very delicious. Great selection of Japanese beers, and just a nice a place to sit for an hour or two with a wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely return !

The staff are super friendly and add to the relaxed and fun atmosphere. Also there are a lot of board games to play.

A fun place to go and have drinks on the weekend. Highly recommended.

Super tiny, authentic local Japanese stand-up bar in Crow's Nest. Come here for Japanese tap beers, whiskey and cool range of bento boxes and snacks. The pork belly and salt Koji chicken are awesome!

Fantastic little place - we loved eating all the small dishes and having beers and cocktails. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Ordered garaage chicken, wasabi octopus, takoyaki and drinks. Yummy food, nice vibe and kudos to the staff on duty on the night of 27/10/20, despite being very busy with a full house she attended to us very well.

What a little place! Small and crowded but full of soul! Fits about 10 guests and transports you to the middle of Tokyo. Friendly service and a great selection of food and drinks! Will be back :)

A cozy, warm & vibrant Japanese bar. It is just like stepping into an izakaya/bar in Japan. Very cool vibe & a favourite of mine in crows nest.
They have 4 imported beers on tap, and an extensive range of Japanese spirits, gins and whiskeys.

Amazing and personal service, beautiful dainty food very tasty and visually appealing. The business owners go the extra mile here would recommend to anyone who loves Japanese.

I work in Tokyo and this place is just like so many Izakaya’s in Japan. Staff are very attentive, Oriôn beers are amazing and whilst I haven’t tried the food I’m sure it’s great. They also have real lemon sours, best I’ve found in Aus, if you haven’t tried before definitely give them a go. Also happy hour is a real win!

Kazuki and Tai are the best bartenders you can get in Crows Nest. Place was really good and has authentic Japanese vibes. For the drinks, they were spot on, brings you to Japan without spending too much. Overall five star, will come back again.

It is conveniently situated just in front of the shopping g centre. It is vey small but has a good vibe. A good place to have a drink before dinner or after work if you live nearby.
