Marzia Design

I was recommended to use Marzia from a builder as he said she was good value for money. Yes, her pricing is cheap (although the quote we received was not the final price we paid), however the communication and design is a reflection of the price.

I would be very surprised if Marzia actually lives in Australia. The hours of her emails are always after 5pm, she refuses to conduct a site visit, talk face to face about design concepts and even refuses to discuss over a phone call. Everything has to be conducted via email, which is difficult, leads to miscommunication, is hard to get the design concept right and therefore... results in her needing to do more revisions of the work and thus charge you more.

The design concept we landed on and is in our final plans is not ideal and when engaging a ‘designer’ I thought that Marzia would provide me with options and guide me through a process to ensure that the design would have great aesthetics and functionality. The end process involved me drawing on our block plans what I had envisioned and then she drew that exact sketch up as her design. I am not a designer and have no idea on these thing, thus why I engaged a designer, not just a draftsperson.

I would not recommend using Marzia, spend the extra couple of hundred and go with someone else, it will actually save you money in the long run.
