Marne Valley Conservation Park

Lovely dry creek here today with some massive gum trees. Revegetation project is coming along, slowly. Saw roos today and heard a lot of birds.

Finding the entrance was easy Finding the track not so easy the place is in dire need of maintenance ie some controlled burning to lessen the fuel load would be a great start discussed this with wife perhaps opening parts to camping and allowing fires this would clean up huge amounts of fuel and lessen damage caused by a fire in the park and some basic signage would be good or maps obtained from cambrai store something needs to be done could be an amazing little park and agree found the biggest wombat city I've ever seen was amazing and signs of use to

trees are struggling with disease, winter rains have proliferated weeds, there was the usual common birds and one of the largest wombat 'cities' I have ever seen. No facilities/signs, good for a shortish walk.

Stopped at Gate 1and walked in and out.
It is a bit of a stretch calling it a park, conservation area maybe. Access is hidden and difficult, parking overgrown (fire risk), signage gives no information, see photo.

Only gate 1 is accessible from Black Hill Road. The other roads are either gated, have a trespass sign or end at a fence. Good luck trying entry from the north side.

A lot of wasted time and a big disappointment.

Was a wasted trip trying to find an entrance.We found gate 1 but didnt go too far.Looked for another entrance but could only find private property roads.Is there another entrance or is gate 1 the only way in?
