Yorketown Playground

Such a great spot for the kids, or a good rest stop spot if going through town for the day. Has ample parking space, seating scattered around the park, greenery and a lake view that is so picturesque.
Undercover bbq area, shaded seating nearby, great spots and enabling view of kids playing on playground. The garden plants also worth a look too.
Toilets are roomy and clean.
Has a great hot donut / drinks kiosk nearby which is convenient - but is cash only though.

I'm critical and I am still happy to give it 5 stars. First.. I visited in the middle of winter at the tourist low. The toilets were clean, the BBQ areas were very tidy and well kept and there were members from either the council or community there maintaining things while I was there. Seems like there was a lot of work that had gone into the development.
Nice 10 minute walk around the lake. BBQ areas had direct line of sight to playground for overprotective parents.
BMX track and an oval for anyone who wants to know. Kid 5 or over with a bike... good to go 👍

Something for kids big and small. Lovely walks with lots for the kids to find, read and learn about.

What an amazing place to take the kids. Hot donuts by the progress association made it ! Well done on a beautiful area.

Such a good playground/park. They have public toilets, a BBQ facility and plenty of shelter which makes it great for a gathering with children. Such a clean and tidy area too

Stopped by when on the way back from Marion bay. Lovely place, neat, clean and has the best fresh doughnuts. And guess what they are just 50c. Kids loved it, highly recommended.

When visiting the playground on a weekend, make sure to pop in to the centre next do to try their delicious freshly cooked donuts. 6 for $3. Run by volunteers. Also have tea/coffee and cans of drink. All goes back to the community. Make it there every time I pass through.

Lots of things to play on, well maintained, toilets close by, has a shelter shed with tables and bbq's that are kept clean.

What a nice playground, seating available, covered picnic seating. Public toilets, including disabled ♿ and Baby nappy change amenities)
