Excelsior Jones

A nice little gem away from the busy side of ashfield. The food is a fusion twist which is fantastic. Potato hash is a nice surprise and the trout bagel is delish.
Love the sunny decor that is away from all the usual beige and brown look ;)

Great family, chill cafe with a nice view.

This is your middle of the road cafe, decent food and coffee and a relaxed atmosphere. It has great windows so you get a nice view. We got the English breakfast. The hash brown was the most exciting because it was this giant crispy cube.

Our first visit to this EJ cafe as referred by other social media. It’s worth a visit that the food is delicious and fresh, in particular, the Monofuku Bowl. Service is good and warm welcome to all guests. The Campos coffee also worth trying. In all, will plan to visit again.

One of my favourite brunch spots in Sydney. Excelsior Jones' breakfast is really elevated and much more than the usual smashed avo. Coffee is 👌🏽and service is friendly.

Only tricky part is it's very popular so can be hard getting a table, but it's worth the wait!

Good. Management seems to have changed last few years. They now have a white menu instead of the retro cool historical one, but food is still great - and I would argue that the coffee is better.

Great coffee! Good location - would recommend sitting outside if the weather is nice. There are some decent vegetarian options on the menu but it could be expanded a bit more. I tried their special "summer bowl" and it was amazing! So many different varieties of fruits and flavours. Truly, a local gem.

This is a great little place in the burbs. The food and coffee are always great here.

Always love this spot for entertaining friends when they come to visit for brunch. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and it's dog friendly. Food is great and portion sizes are decent! We ordered the spanner crab omelette, fried chicken burger, pork roll and large sweet potato fries (be warned, the portion is LARGE!)

Staff here were very friendly! They all seemed proud of their service. Food was great and came out swiftly.

Great local Cafe with great food, super quick and friendly service. Eat inside or out. Can be a bit noisy when the bus stops outside but otherwise well worth a visit. They do all day breakfast, a great selection of meals and kids versions as well.

Went here for the first time is years and it did not disappoint. The menu is interesting and there is lots of variety. I had the pork roll with waffle fries which was so satisfying and my friend had the ham and cheese toastie which was simple but yummy. The drinks are great. Will be back soon!

Amazing brunch had here with my family for my brother's birthday. The cafe itself was lovely and we sat outside.
I got the brewed soy chai latte--so good and nifty in its little pot and sieve.
The food was delicious and beautiful looking. We all had to try each other's meals round the table it was so good. They were very happy to swap out the feta in my avo toast for an eggplant side dish, and the ricotta-honey on the sourdough crumpets was amazing.
Staff were very good and efficient, especially the girl in cool doc martins.
Will definitely be going here again given I live close.

I think I just had the best veggie roll ever in Sydney!!!! It was amazing! And it was a big big roll with plenty of veggies, halloumi and mushrooms inside. Perfectly made with eggs inside. Its a bit on a pricy side with 16 Dollars but worth every bite of it! Well done! Def gonna come back for another one!

Visited last Sunday on a whim just to try jt out and was not disappointed. Chicken burger and bagel were amazing, same goes for the sides. Quick service and friendly staff. Keen to come by again and try something new.

I love this place. Menu changes with the seasons. Food is always of the highest quality and great flavour. Lovely coffee. During the week it is so quiet and relaxing to get an early breakfast. There are a few places that I will travel to for breakfast and this is my number 1. Best in the inner west.

Fantastic coffee, and a great breakfast selection of freshly roasted granola, gourmet cheese and ham toasties, or a big brekky! The pancakes are a must and if you hang for lunch make sure you have the burger!

Really nice cafe serving single origin Columbian / Brazilian Campos coffee, and other regions too I think, depends on the day/week - loved their sign showing hand drawn piccies of the grind of the day! In fact - loved the decor and vibes in general, staff were pleasant and attentive, had a Mocha coffee and a Southern Fried Chicken Burger and chips and was not disappointed in either. Food delicious and coffee hit the spot. Prices good too.Will be back for sure, def recommended!

Great food, fantastic coffee, spacious environment. Spent a morning here by myself. Ordered a beautiful breakfast and a chai latte. Food was delicious, with beautiful plating. Staff was very friendly and welcomed everybody into the place. Very lively cafe.
