Plenty of choices for food. Generous servings and friendly staff. The side laneway is a nice spot for sitting and enjoying the meal. Will visit again on our next trip up!

Very good place with more options to eat and also delicious drinks. Staff is very friendly and the food is tasty. Its a good place to stop by and enjoy the food. You will also enjoy the quick knowledge sharing session with the staff about the birds. Ps: nice collection of birds and souvenirs.

Best fish and chips.. pizza traditional and yummy.. they sell burgers and chicken rolls.. good range of decent takeaway food.. Friendly clean and lovely local takeaway. Has these two beautiful macaw birds and cockatoo. There've opened a new night lounge featuring bands. Friday Saturday Sunday. I'll be definitely back when I pass through town again..

For a non-descript facade front small country town "Fish & Chips Takeaway" Cafe the Maldon Takeaway (With The Blue Cockatoo Bar in the back) is a hidden gem. The food, service and atmosphere are outstanding. Look for it by seeking the 2 Macaws and 1 Sulfur Crested Cockatoo in an aviary just down the alley beside the Cafe on Main Street. You won't regret it.

The best burger I've had in years. Absolutely loved meeting the birds and the entertaining and friendly service, makes this an experience above and beyond the food. Seems like a simple fish and chip shop but we had so much fun!

3 beautiful birds to speak with. An amazing steak burger and a friendly face. It was during gothic weekend and the owner wore fantastic on theme makeup. Look forward to attending next year and having amazing food

Some of the best fish and chips I've had in a while.
Would definitely recommend getting lunch or dinner from this lovely little takeaway shop!
Edit: Went here again and grabbed a pizza, it was very generous on toppings, nice crusty edge and firm base.

Adam and meleta are just the most beautiful people and very inviting. They always in a welcoming mood and have time for a chat. Food is delicious but the main attraction is their birds which my little one loves seeing a feeding.

Lovely staff, variety of food and a fun little garden shop in the back. Gorgeous pet parrots in the side alley to admire while you wait for your food as all is cooked fresh.

Happy friendly staff. Unique outdoor area with lots of nic nacks to look at or purchase, two large beautiful birds in a large cage. Peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended. Thankyou

If you want the best burger outside of Melbourne come here to this gem of a place, I had a double meat burger and it was outstanding, fresh ingredients cooked to perfection and absolute value for money!
Highly recommended.

Rarely I get into a review with just one visit. But Melitta and her team has left me atleast with an everlasting good experience.
The hospitality was utmost, we were a bunch of blokes on a ride day, after our individual orders were placed, as a nice gesture we all were treated with a free slice of pizza.
I by mistake broke one of their decoratory thing while at the bill counter and as I apologized, the response was heart touching.

And lastly I had one of the best Chicken Burger lot ever in Australia, seriously for me it was the best!
Tastiest food, best hospitality, nice staff, they indeed deserve 5 stars from me.
