Hurstville, one of the most Asian-populated suburbs you'd find in Sydney and where you can also find some nice Chinese food especially in Taste of Shunde!

The dim sum and other dishes you can order here are truly authentic Chinese cooking which is why you'd definitely see people of Chinese-background always coming back for more.

This place is always quite massive as it has three levels and with private rooms available too, however they only open up the upper levels if it gets that busy and it sure does sometime.

Onto the food, there's nothing I can't explain however looking at the pictures itself, it should give everyone enough of an idea to dine at this location. Definitely better to come here as a group since it allows you to try as many things as possible.

Very authentic and delicious dishes. Served fast and with generous portion. It’s not easy to get roasted goose in Sydney so we were so happy to eat it. The skin was crispy and the meat was juicy.

The pipis with rice noodles was delicious too. A little bit spicy and the salty thickened sauce match perfectly with the noodle underneath.

Pan fried eel was well seasoned and crispy.

Would definitely revisit in the future.

Food was amazing! Was Sunny's Seafood; now under new ownership. Dinner was great quality!! One of the best I had in a while! Would bring my family here for dinner for special occasions definitely! Service was also amazing!

Great yumcha and dinner place. Slightly different menu than your typical Chinese restaurant. Must try the seafood basket and the fried milk. Yum cha price is a bit expensive, but surprisingly dinner was on the cheap side for a big group due to the big portions.

We’ve eaten at their three locations (Eastwood, Hurstville (was Kogarah) and consistently rate the roast goose highly. Decent sized bird, meaty and not as fatty as in HK :)
We think their cantonese cuisine is delicious, light, and smooth. Anything in a soup stock is a winner. Service can be a bit slow though.

Apart from the BBQ Pork (very fatty for the Mrs) everything is tasting and yummy.
The staff's service is top notch. Keep changing our plates and top up our tea. For a Sunday night, I think the services are up to the standard (compared to others around the area).

Food was very good. During lunch hour, they were just so busy. So it took a while until we were able to order. Ordering through their app is faster and easier, I think.

So good. The roast goose had impressively crispy skin. Ingredients were very fresh and portions larger than expected. Will be back again and again.

The food was delicious. Flavoured well and you can see they have used quality produce. Portion size was very decent hence we had take away. Interesting use to milk for flavouring. The service was very good as the staffs were professional and they check that everything was fine, clear the plate of crab shells when it was full and was quick to provide you with things that you asked for such as ice water and spoon for the kids.

Quite an authentic southern Chinese restaurant. Their seafood platter is quite impressive.

Went for yum cha today and the serving was generous and very tasty. The little ones occupied themselves with a mini play area (L1), which was great.
