Gong Grocer Asian Supermarket

Gong Grocer by Thai-Kee Supermarket is an exciting addition to World Square. It’s a spacious and well arranged Asian supermarket with a dedicated liquor section. There’s a great range of Japanese sake and beers and inexpensive Korean soju. One innovation I particularly liked is the mystery ball frozen pick’n’mix station where you choose the mix that appeals to you without filling up the freezer with eight different packets. They also will appeal to vegetarians with a dedicated section that saves a lot of label scrutinising. Products like sauces in one aisle are also cleverly arranged by country. There’s an in house cake shop and butcher and the frozen section is epic so bring a freezer bag. Plenty of great ready-to-eat offerings too, including by our talented Taiwanese neighbour, Ommi's Food & Catering.

Convenient Asian grocery in World Square. Large range of Asian imported products available at reasonable prices. The store is spacious, clean and well organised. I was surprised to see how big it was. Everything was clearly labelled and staff were friendly and helpful. Worth a visit if you need any Asian brand products that you normally would not find in your general grocer.

I love Gong Grocer by Thai Kee World Square and it's definitely one of the largest asian grocery stores. I visit Gong Grocer a few times a week. Gong Grocer is owned by Thai Kee, which is my other favourite Asian grocery store in Sydney.

Gong Grocer stocks a huge range of Asian groceries and including hard to find groceries from Japan. I love that Gong Grocer sells Tempo tissues, because they're usually hard to find in Sydney. The prices are Gong Grocer do not appear to be too expensive, for example at one point their bananas were cheaper per kilo than Coles. Gong Grocer also has a bakery section, butcher and alcohol section.

Gong Grocer is conveniently located at World Square opposite Priceline.

Clean, nice, layout of goods is good - although I won't go back any more. Bought bottle of alcohol, change mind within 10 mins while still in store, asked if can exchange with another brand, got refused. It's a shame, I really like this store, but I cannot accept this.

OMG! I was shocked to see that they had constructed escalators to access this store in the basement. They've been open 6 months and I walk past here all the time and only just noticed it today so I popped in to take a look. Very clean, well lit and much easier to find items in this store. I'll be back!
It's smaller than the Thai Lee in Market City, but so much more convenient for me in World Square. The old asian supermarket which closed at the other end of the mall was too cramped and too confusing to find stuff. I love that they have a butcher and a grog shop as well.

I can’t think of any other store that is better than here! All my faves are here! Most of all, they have an accessible location. Good Service and the prices are reasonable. My pantry’s getting full now 😆 Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Recently opened Asian grocer, located in world square has fresh produce and well stocked liquor section. They had great customer service. Note I was served by a friendly team member called Feb highly recommend doing your local shopping here.

Looks like they just opened and are from the Thai Kee family - really awesome selection of products with a lot of things that are hard to find as well as the essential stuff. Everything looks really well designed as well, great looking supermarket

great service... has everything asian under one roof... clean... easy to find the items one needs... very pleased they have small sized sauces... eg panda oystersauce....

Nice & clean asian groceries

Lovely store and friendly helpful staff. Immaculately clean and well presented throughout. Has all the ingredients needed to home cook great Asian cuisine. Beautifully fresh fruit and vegetables. Will definitely be a regular shopping stop for me.
