I have eaten here twice now. The first was takeaway, the second we dined in. On both occasions the food has been delicious! Service was great and staff super friendly and kind. Will be back for sure!

What a wonderful little gem at the end of Barkly St. The owner greeted us, served us and cooked up the entire course all by himself.

The aroma of the restaurant made us really hungry. We ordered the Abeshia special with the Gored Gored and Doro Wat between the four of us.

Gored Gored 9/10, definitely our favourite, it's tender, juicy and addictive.

We were so full we couldn't walk after. Generous portions at a very affordable price.

The owner ensured he took care of us. Amazing how he juggled quite a few tables and uber eats all by himself.

By far my most favourite Ethiopian restaurant, never disappoints! Although interior is a little dark the restaurant has a cozy warm atmosphere. Can byo, takeaway is just as fresh as dining in.

Very humble restaurant serving good food. The red wine they had on the menu was surprisingly really good! Do yourself a favour, and just get the combination platter! You'll be able to try many of the dishes and not miss out on the good dishes.

It was a quiet night at the restaurant, so the atmosphere was average but the man serving us was very pleasant!

Note: the highchair for baby isn't very clean and seems a bit flimsy too.

Fantastic food and friendly (albeit small) staff. Best Ethiopian in Footscray. I would recommend the Abesha Special between two. You get a little bit of everything, but ask for extra bread

Warm friendly staff, makes you feel at home.
Extraordinarily delicious food - we always get the Abesha special. Beautifully soft, fluffy injera, with two different lamb curries and about four or five veg sides. If we're really hungry between two, we'll get an order of Doro Wat and extra injera too 🥰 and just such good value, it feels like a steal!

Absolutely wonderful food, heaps of vegan options and great choice of drinks also.

Every dish had its own distinct and delicious flavour which made tasting each one a fun experience. Service was very friendly and prompt. We left very happy and full. Highly recommend!

As a vegan, this place felt like heaven! I ordered the vegetarian combo and it was fresh and delicious 😋 I was full and satisfied after cleaning the plate!

If you can look past the dim lighting and less than average decor, the food is the best you'll ever have. Staff are friendly but the food is the most amazing I've ever tried. This place is the new favourite go-to spot for my friend and I, we can't stop talking about it. Love the ubereats option as well. See you soon!

Stumbled in here at 1am after Google maps said they might be open. Couldn't believe our luck. Alternatives at this stage were kebabs or pizza and instead we got to enjoy a delicious selection of curries. Such a gem
