Great Day Out With Captain Dave and Tara.

Very knowledgeable and helpful learnt a lot about Mud Crabs and Oysters and Other Marine Species In the Tweed River.

Highly recommended for family trip holiday and finish it off with a delicious seafood meal with mud crabs and oysters.

Fun place to do some activities and defintiely kids friendly. We were pulling out crab trap, bird feeding, catching yabbie, fishing (despite got none) and a bit of crab knowledge from the team. I would recommend you to purchase the lunch too. Especially if you enjoy crab. They serve you a freshly cooked seafood and I absolutely enjoy the delicacy.

Another note is, if you afraid of motion sickness, the boat is running on river that has no wave, I am a bit sensitive with motion, but felt nothing while I was on board.

This might be the best trip of my journey. The whole trip was about two and a half hours. Each activity was very enjoyable, and the captain was very handsome and humorous, the assistant was stunningly beautiful. The only downside was that the fishing time was a bit short. Nevertheless, I highly recommend everyone to come here and enjoy an unforgettable and wonderful experience.

P.S. It seems that your official Instagram account was broken. In that case, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share the Instagram account of the captain and the assistant. I'd love to connect with them directly and continue following their journeys. Thank you in advance!"

Very great experience. Catch a crab was very unique and special. Booking in advance is a must.

Main focus was to catch a crab. Pumping yabbis and oyster farm visit was depend on tide condition. This round we missed yabbies and oyster farm. But pulling the crab trap out of water and saw the crabs trapped inside the trap was eye opener. Listened to commentary about oyster, crab and fishing was interesting.

The only cons is the transport. Coming from gold coast surfers paradise must booking with uber about AUD60 per way for 40 minutes. But return trip was very challenging. No uber want to take us from this remote location. There was a bus station in the entrance road of catch a crab tour but the bus only operate one to 2 trip per day. End up We need to walk 1km to nearest bus stop and take a 601 bus to nearest city then take another bus 700 to broadbeach South station. The return trip took us 2 and a half hours include walking, waiting time, transit and bus duration.

Worth the visit. Managed to catch crab, yuppies and fish. Fed the pelicans, birds and fishes. End the tour with a seafood platter and fresh Sydney rock oysters. The timing is Queensland time 9:30am or New South Wales time 10:30am. We thought it was 9:30am NSW time and arrived 1 hour too early!

Too much excitement with feeding the fish / birds, the cruise, fishing, catching our baits in the water, pulling the cage out of the water for the crabs, and of course the highlight was eating all the crabs! So much fun and so yummy! It wasn't cheap (average $160 per person for 3 hours, including food) but time will spent! The manager and crew members were so nice and helpful. It was just 'our luck' to be on the full boat with the international students......

We had the most fantastic experience going on the Catcha Crab tour. I honestly don’t know what was better, the customer service from the exception tour guide or the activities themselves. We felt that our host made a point to connect with us and engage with us personally during the morning, enhancing the experience. It was a fun day out for the whole family, regardless of age, everyone enjoyed themselves. From feeding birds, pumping for yabbies, fishing and of course, catching crabs, the morning was action packed and very well timed. We never felt rushed or too much time was spent in one area and not another. We learnt so much too.

Absolutely fantastic experience, from the pre setoff seagull feeding (while waiting for all the passengers to arrive) to the cruise for the crab catching, yabby pumping, fishing was great. We pulled up 3 crabs, pumped up a bunch of yabbies and mini baby crabs on the sand banks but was unable to catch any fishes (but some other passengers managed to catch some decent fishes!). The complimentary beverages and snacks was welcoming and the guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information. we only got wet to our shin. So wearing Bermudas or shorts is fine. you will go down barefoot on to the sand banks so best to wear slippers or aqua shoes for the trip. We signed up for the lunch package and it was not bad too. Lunch was served back on land at the restaurant. The seafood platter includes crab, fish and chips and salad. Fish and chips is as the name implies - fish and chips with salad. Free water is available. Free parking outside the compound is available if you are driving. We enjoyed ourselves and this is one experience we will not soon forget and would recommend this to anyone.

Best itinerary for this trip. Learn a lot from the guide. Fishing, cratching crabs, yabbie pumping, bird feedings, etc.

If you're looking for a truly unforgettable Gold Coast experience, I highly recommend the Catch a Crab tour!

From start to finish, this tour is an absolute blast. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by David, our caption who was incredibly engaging and knowledgeable about the area.

The tour itself is a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, as you get to explore the beautiful waterways of the Gold Coast while learning about the local ecosystem and wildlife.

We also got to enjoy some unique experiences, like feeding pelicans & seagulls, pumping yabbies, and the highlight, of course, is catching your own crabs!

The seafood lunch was absolutely delicious - the BEST mud crab I’ve ever had!

This was a truly amazing experience and something never to be forgotten. Thank you Dave and the team!

The experience was unique: the captain complimented the journey, 1st mate and deck hand were very helpful. I wish the journey could have lasted for longer. Thoroughly enjoyed by Mum, Dad and a young son. Highly recommended for young families!

The Oyster Shed:

Oysters are fresh here!! Must try.

Too tasty to forget to take a photo ….

4 adults had 6 dozens oysters…

Rest of food are also amazing too.

Unfortunately, just rain and the water is so muddy. That’s why we couldn’t get the tour.

We definitely come back again.
