Don't know why it has a low star rating,
We loved the lake and the wildlife and walking the old golf course. Our dog had a great time too.

What’s with all the negative reviews here? Seems more like people come to country looking for Ritz Carlton

-cozy & warm cabins
-great owner with excellent hospitality. Very friendly and accommodating
-a very cute and friendly dog patrolling the area (if you are scared of dogs let owner know, is a very obedient and smart dog and he can make sure the dog stays away from you)
-amazing green and swans and geese around you, perfect spot to relax and take in the nature

Wonderful place for a weekend gateway. If you love nature or want to get an authentic "country" experience. This is the place! Lovely views. Grasses, lakes, sunsets, birds, ducks, kangaroos. The rooms are bit old however they are spacious, with working cooling and heating options. Overall it was a great stay.

Very cute cabin & friendly owners & surrounding areas. My kids enjoyed exploring and looking at the wildlife. It isn’t fancy, but it was relaxing and perfectly appropriate for what it advertised.

Expectations. This place, maybe more so than most others - will heavily depend on expectations. We hadn't been to the place before, and wasn't expecting the world - due to price and due to COVID - so we really enjoyed the stay.

If you are looking for an ultra-clean, ultra-tidy, "hotel" type experience - don't bother coming. At least for now. Maybe 6-12 months from now, who knows.

What do you get? You get an authentic "country" experience. Lovely views. Grasses, lakes, trees, sunsets, flowers, animals (geese, birds, ducks, kangaroos, ...). The cabins are more than spacious enough, with lots of cooling and heating options. The mobile internet coverage is more than passable. No TV. The owners are super-friendly, and will go out of their way to help and support your stay wherever possible.

I'm definitely keen to head back, and stay again with more friends. This is a great place for a few families, or even a few couples. Lots of space, privacy, fresh air, and a quiet stay. Great break from the city, for an extremely good rate.

This place was lovely. The gardens and surroundings were just beautiful. Breakfast was also great! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. Great day spa (loved my massage!), friendly staff and so relaxing!
Only one issue, there was a party of 30 or 40 people that came up on the Saturday night and therefore breakfast wasn't served to your table and was just a buffet and there was kids and people everywhere! I didn't mind too much but really would have liked it if they let us know.
All in all, a great weekend despite the weather not allowing us to play the tennis and croquet. Would love to have another weekend getaway here!
