We go here every year it is amazing the animals and experiences are awesome the rooms are stunning bird feeding is awesome, micks tower, wishing tree, and treetop walk are amazing photo spots I highly recommend going to the zipline however glow worms is a bit late for kids. restaurant food was amazing especially buffet however dinner took a while but if kids got bored, they could play outside. this is my happy place. Best ever don't ever hesitate to book a room 10/10.

Beautiful place to unwind. Has a beautiful view. Has everything you need for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Looking the mountains and beautiful birds each morning are so relaxing.
They have a great dining area and great food.
Staff are always very friendly. Always miss coming up here to unwind even just for a day trip.

We stayed in the caravan park, down the road from the lodge. It was tricky filling up with water and the laundry is in up the road at the lodge. The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. Views were spectacular and the park amenities excellent. Best of all, the wildlife was incredible with parrots feeding around us. Fabulous place and it was great to be able to access the tours and programs even though we were not staying in the lodge.

This place is an amazing World Heritage listed landscape so is absolutely worth visiting. Acknowledging First Nations heritage was done poorly and needs improvement. Better information about what trails, places of interest or activities along trails would be helpful ie Mick's Tower climb was closed but there was no sign at the turn off from the Wishing tree track.

We really enjoyed our 2 nights in a 3 bedroom villa (no 49). It was a very appropriate place for an 80th birthday gathering late May, as the full kitchen enabled us to enjoy our own catering.
King beds in all 3 rooms, but A bit odd that one of the 3 ensuites was bath only & no shower.
Fabulous views of the ranges from the deck.
Kitchen OK & a decent BBQ on the deck but where were its cleaning tools?
TV good, aircon & gas heater good & bathrooms & ammenities fine.
Our plans to use the spa on the deck didn't eventuate as a bit nippy.
A couple of our gang did use the nearby swimming pool at the spa centre but the water was too cloudy & un-appealing for me, and to top it off finding a used condom by the sunbeds was a pretty poor experience and didn't reflect well on the maintenance & cleanliness upkeep of the spa pool area.
The reception team were great and we enjoyed the Log Fire room and it's O'Reilly's history, and to have a coldie at sunset in that upstairs bar with the superb views was wonderful. Not so keen paying $13 a beer but that's what it is.
Did 3 walks in the vicinity and enjoyed them all - the tree top walk is worthwhile (shame the ladder part is closed). Highly recommend Python Rock walk.
Overall a good stay but as a travel professional of 40+ years I felt it needed to raise its game a tad as there were rough edges appearing - particularly with garden/landscape & maintenance.

A magical place to visit. My daughter and I enjoy visiting this remarkable place.
The villas built into the side of the mountain with spectacular views, spa on deck and visiting native birds are our favourite accommodation type. The tours, including Billy Tea and the magical natural glow worm tour were great. My daughter also Loved the flying fox and animal shows. The good size infinity pool looks over the picturesque valley.
Highly recommend.

We had a lovely couple of nights staying at O'Reilly's.

Ok - so the rooms are a little old and tired and could do with some renovation. The hotel loses a star for this.

However, we were delighted with the rest of our stay. The afternoon tea, welcome drink and manager's introduction are well worth taking the time to do, giving us a real insight of Lamington and the history of the resort.

Walks are clearly signposted, and staff are more than happy to answer any questions. We had food in the bar on both nights, and even thought it was busy, food was brought to us quickly and it tasted great. Good drinks selection too!

The clear highlight is the pool though; a magnificent sweeping view, from a full length, big infinity pool overlooking the rainforest. We're travelling for several months, but this will live long in our memories.

Hopefully we'll be back someday - and we'll splash out on a villa!

Weekends are pretty busy. The mulled wine on the back deck is worth the trip. Great pizza, excellent wait staff.

Amazing stay at O’Reillys - loads of activities to choose from to keep you busy during the day & the waterfalls are stunning and pretty easy to get too. (We don’t hike but made it)

Food was brilliant! Service from staff was excellent, especially from Arielle & Fiona

We loved our stay at O'Reilly's! We had never been and we loved learning about the areas rich history, exploring the walking tracks and seeing all of the wildlife. The staff, facilities and food were excellent. We took advantage of an all-inclusive package and we really believe we got excellent value!
10/10 will be back again

The camping is great. Comes with shared kitchen cooking area, phone charger, fridge, and seated eating area with gorgeous view. So not true camping. Toilets and showers are good. Plus access to O’Reilly’s activities/outings and extra bushwalks, national park walks and nature. Great experience.

I've been thinking a bit about what to write here and I've come to the conclusion that I'm not really the target market for O'Reilly's.
On the positive side, what a view!! Absolutely amazing location and the best sunsets I've seen. Great staff, plenty of them, all eager to help in any way. Surprisingly good facilities, given the location and the difficulty of getting everything up the mountain.

On the neutral side, the villas are getting a bit old and not everything works well. But the important stuff is fine - air-conditioning, dishwasher, etc. Nice appliances in the villas. The spa on the balcony is spectacular. But the mattresses are getting old and the pillows thin. The dining room was perfectly adequate, fair quality and reasonable prices, given the location.

On the downside, we had to move villas as the hot water didn't work (they did give us a lovely bottle of wine for the trouble).

So many people have raved about O'Reilly's to us that I really don't want to put anyone off. We didn't use the walks through the forest because we're not up to walking any distance, and there's a lot of walking up very steep hills to be done. Make sure you take all you need because the nearest shop is an hour down the mountain (there's a shop on site with a very limited range). And be prepared for the twistiest, most heart-stopping drive up to the resort!

The retreat is beautiful located amidst the rainforest, nestled in the mountains with amazing views. The access is good. If you love an adventurous drive, you'll love the drive to the retreat, sharp curves, single track, wet roads.
The staff at the retreat is very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean, room service is good. The only complain I have is tiny cockroaches in the bathroom. Can't stand those bugs.
You'll love king parrots and rosellas in your balcony, morning, noon and evening. Kids friendly place, lots of trails and interesting activities set. If you happen to book eco rangers for kids, they keep your kids busy and you get 3 hrs each in morning and afternoon, kids free.
The weather is unpredictable in summers as rains take away the evenings. Storms are regular in summers and scheduled activities may need to be changed or canceled.

Overall, beautiful retreat, amazing views and lovely surroundings.

Excellent place to feel the nature experience!

Has a ton of picture perfect spots and offers a wide array of adventure (i.e. tree top walk, wildlife encounter, bird show and walk/hike to Morans falls) truly perfect for the whole family.

This location is also perfect if you love birds, as you will get to have an upclose experience feeding them.

Last week I celebrated my 40th birthday weekend staying over for a couple of nights at O’Reilly’s . It was such an awesome, adventurous and scenic trip for my family. My daughter loved feeding the birds and enjoyed the extremely informative morning bird walk. We attended most of the discovery program activities including wild life encounters, birds of prey, 4 wheel drive tour, etc.
Highlight of the trip for me were watching the glow worms at night in the rainforest and the heart pumping experience of the zip line which I truly enjoyed! A special mention of our tour guide for the glow worms and 4 WD bus tour by Mr. Rahula who was so thoughtful of always considering about kids in the group, making them comfortable with his humour and sharing immense knowledge about the history of the O’ Reilly’s and the forest flora & fauna with all of us. It was truly a pleasure having him as our tour guide.

We also loved the food served at the Restaurant. It would be great if you can add few more dinner options for the vegetarians though I found everything I had delicious. I would like to thank their staff Jasmine for her hospitality and quality service which made my birthday extra special. Our room had a spectacular view and the amenities were all good. Overall we had an excellent stay and would love to come back another time.

Nestled atop wild, ancient rainforests with views to rolling pastures and distant mountains, O'Reilly's is a national treasure. Staff are non-intrusive , but up for a chat and are incredibly competent and friendly. Quirky and knowledgeable tour guides are self-professed nature nerds. For adventure lovers there are ample activities to keep the adrenaline pumping but these pursuits do not detract from the quietness and tranquillity of its bush setting. The dining room, full of old world charm is cosy, warm and inviting. There is a magnificent, musty library lounge to snuggle into and educate yourself about the wildlife and landscape. Honestly, I cannot sing enough praises for this magical and authentic place which manages to avoid being superficial and touristy. The grand and gracious giant trees of Lamington, guardians of the rainforest and sentinels of time, salute you.

We didnt stay overnight so cant comment in the rooms. The whole area is just stunning. Plenty of walking and hiking tracks for all ages, plenty of birds to keep you occupied and a cool cafe for a bite to eat.

Wondeful place to visit if you like to see birds (and upclose). We (finally, after six week holiday) saw the eastern whipbird, noisy pitta, as well as paradise riflebird, regent bowerbird, crimson rosella and king parrot. The complimentary early morning birdwalk is a must (our guide Jackie was vert knowledgeable and good, pointing out the bower to us later on).
But be aware that the last 20 km drive up there is a narrow winding road; definitely doable in the day but not mich fun to do in the dark. Really good pizza at the bar, but skip the breakfast buffet unless it is included in your package (it’s goos but at AUD 40 per person extremely overpriced, better to get sandwiches at the cafe.
All in all would definitely go there again.
