Nova Kiama

Booked 2 rooms for the weekend to attend a wedding in Kiama.
Everything was extremely smooth and easy.
The rooms were small but clean and comfortable
The lovely lady ( sorry didn't get her name) was one of the most pleasant and friendly people I ever met. Highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for a wonderful short stay

Beautiful rooms with super comfortable beds!! Rooms were extremely clean and the customer service was excellent from booking to checking out. We loved the little balcony's views and the fresh air it let into the room. All in a great location with an easy walk to shops, restaurants and the water.

My husband & I took our little girl away for a few days to Kiama and it was great - everything about Nova, was exceptional, the staff were lovely, the service was next level awesome - it was clean, fresh and funky, we loved the art deco design of the hotel the quirky touch with the amenities and little fine touches in the rooms - we are particularly grateful to the beautiful young ladies on the front desk who were expectational from the moment we checked in to the time we left. Highly recommend it - we defiantly will return and tell others. Thank you so much.

Very comfortable beds. The tv has All the streaming services. The hosts treat you like family. It's next door to a pub with live music and good food (and they're friendly too). What's not to like?

We stayed two nights visiting Kiama for a wedding. The hotel is in a fantastic central location with accessible underground parking. We had to arrange a late check in which was well explained and easy to access. The room was cozy but has modern facilities. The coffee and Chai Latte we had in the morning from the Kombi in the foyer was delicious and the lady on reception was very friendly, polite and helpful. The queen bed was comfortable and we slept well.

Check in was very quick, the service from all the staff was exceptional. The pool is heated and relaxing, can hear the waves from the beach. Location is great, close to station. Room was comfy with a small balcony. Mini bar wasn’t expensive which was nice to be able to grab a drink in the night.
Also the coffee from the Kombi cafe down stairs was delicious. This was the perfect stay for our Kiama trip. Will definitely be back again.

Very happy we stayed at the Nova Kiama. Great value for money, very friendly & helpful staff and great location. Next time we visit Kiama we will most certainly stay here again.

My mum and I had a wonderful stay at Nova Kiama. I want to thank all the staff especially Elizabeth and Anya. Elizabeth was super helpful when trains were cancelled and I had to ammend the date of our stay. She was so understanding and empathetic. Anya, is lovely and the night that we stayed she dropped our order from the menu app to our room and was accommodating when we requested a later check out 11.30am. The hotel itself was close proximity to the rain station, very handy. We caught the train from Central Stn in Sydney 2.20min train ride. We were able to check in at 1pm which was great. Dropped our stuff and wandered around town. The room itself was a good size, unfortunately we were given a queen's bed rather than twin beds so mum and I shared. I would highly recommend to make sure to ask for twin bed or queen to make sure you get the bed configuration you want. The size of the room is spacious enough for the 2 of us for an overnight stay. I just wished they had a full length mirror in the room. We found the room clean and in great condition. Nice showers and amenities like De'Longhi kettle, iron and hairdryer. We would stay here again if we come back to Kiama as it's in a very handy location, close to everything.

My Wife, 3yr old, and I stayed 1 night. The Staff had made up a little bed for my son. He was stoked. The room was tidy and the Staff are so helpful and friendly. It was rather cold outside so we did not use the pool even though it looked amazing. We explored the blow-hole and town of Kiama which is on the doorstep of the hotel. We would definitely stay again and hopefully longer next time.

We stayed in a family room where it comes with a bunk bed.

Things that we like:

- Location...walking distance to the beach, blowhole and those commuting on a train the station is right next door/behind
- Clean building and rooms unless you are a building inspector from a far things are in great condition
- Checking in and out was a breeze to be honest

Things that we do not like/room for improvement:

- It is next door to a pub, though with the balcony door shut we won't hear much chatter but for any bigger engine vehicle parked including truck or bus/coach drove past we can hear them.
- The lobby area is in an open area to the cool NovaKombi. During busy check in time the area can be seen people queuing up towards the lounge/kombi area which may confuse some people whether they are queuing for coffee or for the lobby. Credit to the reception lady for the quick thinking and seeing people checking in she did a quick run through how to use your room keycard and facilities for all rather than having to repeat for each group
- The room does not have much space to move around, only one stool/chair to sit on and no cupboard but there were some wall-hooks to hang your clothing (as per other reviews)
- The aircon only has 2 settings of heat or fan, no biggie we just use the fan mode

Extra note: Those who'd like to connect their online streaming apps ie. Netflix, disney+ etc, make sure to always remember to sign out before you check out. We found out that some of the apps have the previous visitor's profile still logged in and it can be a security issue, fyi.

We thought that we are only spending overnight stay and will be mostly out and about and we didn't mention anything to the reception as they are mostly minor things. Overall, we enjoyed Nova Kiama so much, friendly staff and would def consider coming back for any of our future overnight getaway again.

Great location being so close to train/bus stop as well as blowhole and rockpool. The hotel is one of the cleanest ones i have even been too, always smelling so beautiful. Staff working there especially Liz at Reception goes out of their way to make guests feel welcome. Liz’s professionalism and kindness exceeded all our expectations and made our holiday even more fun. The van with drinks and snacks is great too. The only thing I would change is the size of the pool, it could be a little longer. But overall, great hotel. We will be back for sure.

Lovely staycation at the Nova! Really clean and the pool was just perfect getting sun early in morning to relax! Location in middle of town and near water! It’s a great little hotel ticking all the boxes even with coffee van downstairs!

We stayed at Nova Kiama for a much needed break. The hotel was centrally located to all amenities. The staff were friendly and service with a smile. The bed and pillows very comfortable. We would have liked to have some sugar for our coffee. The reception was closed after 7 pm. We had a fantastic stay and time.

I can't speak for the "rooms" but I regularily used a meeting room.

I was really looking forward to this stay, and I was not disappointed! Excellent location, only a short walk into town where there were a variety of food and drink options, along with a beautiful view of the beach. The hotel was right across the road from the Kiama train station too, which was extremely convenient. Free parking for hotel guests as well!
The staff were all so lovely and accommodating, even leading up to my stay when I was corresponding with them via email. The room was beautiful and had a lovely view of the water. Excellent facilities: a pool and gym which was free to use, and the cutest little combi coffee van right in the lobby!
I will definitely be returning to Nova Kiama on my next holiday in the area!

My partner and I had a very pleasant stay over the weekend. The hotel is in a convenient location close to town and coastal walks. The room was clean and comfortable!

Rooms were good and located within walking distance of most places. No views from room.

I tried their coffee, beautiful, not only that but the cafe style is out there so unique. Plenty of space in and out. Gorgeous staff, Renee, Skye, and all the other girls so so helpful and lovely. Coffee 7 am to 7 pm. Give it a go. God bless you
