Come here to be on the most southern road in Australia 🇦🇺
I camped 3n at Finns Beach 7km short of Cockle Creek. Free & up to 28 day stay!
Cockle Creek is well worth the drive to & stay if you can. Great toilets and information boards around. See the Blue Right Whale Sculpture, read about the area history & take in Nature's beauty.
I also did the 18km (1.5-2hr each way) round trip walk to Sth Cape Bay & Lions Rock. Brilliant and highly recommended coming here.

Great location. Lots of beach side camping last 1 km into cockle creek and past ranger stop, just past last bridge. Summer months it's a total fire ban. You need a national parks pass. Modern composting toilets spread through mainly grasses sites. Could be boggy if wet.

A gem of a place, great for a beach walk and views to die for. Road down is fine for a 2wd. It is typically windy and beyond toilets there are no facilities.

Worth the drive. Not too far and the road is ok for 2wd. Multiple camps nearby and some lovely calm beaches as well. Need a parks pass to visit.

Gorgeous views! Did the walk from the visitor centre to south cape! We are not fit people and had no problem getting there although we struggled to walk back but we had no choice than to keep going! Made it at last but it is more for prepared hikers! Which we were not by far!!

It’s a bumpy drive over corrugated dirt road for approx 20kms to get to the End Of The Road, but worth it. Lovely little picnic areas and drop toilets provided by Tas Nat Parks. There were several off grid campers & vans in the area taking in the solitude, peace and serenity of the area. There is a decent hike starting from this area too. Short walk to Adams Point Whale Lookout (15mins from the NP parking, though you can drive in closer).

Beautiful little bay with gently lapping water and small private beaches. Great camping spots with water available.

Scenic and remote. I believe it is the furthest South you can drive on a road in Tassie!
