Glenelg Equestrian Centre.

I requested a lesson to revisit my youth (50 years since I last rode) in an attempt to reclaim my real identity as aging grey hair and flabby tummy take over my body in my 65 year. The Queen was my motivation as she rode into her 90’s!
I was welcomed by name as I ambled in at the conclusion of two young riders practicing barrel racing. The tone of encouragement was a delight to observe.
I was kitted out and saddled up and chose to lunge first up being unsure if my balance had survived the decades.
A few double bounces in the trot disappointed me as my tubby body gave it my best shot. I was then taken off the lunge but chose to just get the feel of moving in unison at a sedate walk with the very perceptive Peekaboo.
Overall I was delighted with the horse, so clean and well groomed and bless her tolerance of my wobbly on board posture. The staff were chatty and encouraging. What a pleasant experience as I wandered way back down my memory lane of the 1960-70’s

Glenelg is a great place to learn how to ride a horse, they have many different horses to suit your ability, they have very experienced trainers and staff to help, my daughter has been riding their for over 3 years now and I've started learning now as well.

Its awesome place to be, to learn and ride. Also much, much more it will never leave your great memories, especially with the great instructors and horses, they are all lovely and you will make heaps of good friends and meet dozens of people who are into the same things as you, its amazing.

Beautiful horses & amazing instructors make this a must for any child wanting to learn to ride.

Lovely location, people and staff. Loads of fun and make new friends. But, wouldn’t recommend for beginners or unconfident riders as the horses there aren’t that safe. Lost all my confidence there due to horses constantly shying and trainer pressuring me into doing something I wasn’t confident in doing. Wasn’t happy with a certain horse and asked for them to not make me have to ride the horse but they kept forcing me to. Eventually left and am much more of a happy equestrian.
