Okay so clearly there's a lot of questions so here are some answers
1. Dogs allowed, 2. Bring your own water. 3. Don't over use the none drinking water. 4. Plenty of personal space to swim with family members or by yourself. 5. There are platypus and turtles.6. $10 per person for a night or $1 for a day visit. 7. Your at the bottom of a mountain (it's beautiful)
8. The driveway for the place is not number 52 drive down the dirt road maps tells you to go down and at the end is your destination.
9. Call or text the place to make a booking there is limited service if any so be prepared to be off grid and also don't expect a reply straight away
10. There are no showers just toilets (if it's yellow let it mellow if it's brown flush it down)
Definitely worth staying and or visiting does not let you down in expectation in saying bring no expectations and you'll have an even better time (don't be afraid to explore)

Best camping South West of Brisbane. Beautiful tranquil camping. We camp off grid so we don't make use of the ablution. Right on the river. Dog friendly on a lead. Owner is very nice and friendly. Can buy wood from a neighbour coming around daily.

Val and The Gorge will always hold a very precious piece of my heart - Val in her infinite wisdom and love was generous enough to let me stay - knowing my heart and soul were in a very sad place.
Val's generosity in sharing her world with me allowed me to grasp the reality - accept the beauty of The Gorge, taking the necessary steps to embrace a brighter future.
Lovingly Philip

This is a hidden Gem! Great camp ground with basic amenities. Can easily fit a large van and allows dogs. We will be back!

Amazing place. Forest that looks like it came from a fairly tale (especially at night). Nice isolated camp spots near the creek.
Lovely owner.
Facilities: toilets with running water but nothing else.
Very cheap price

An all time favourite spot. Peace and quiet.
Love the donkey boiler for hot water. Bit of wool traffic on the way in pictured.

Sooo ecstatic we stumbled across this hidden gem! We can't wait to come back in summer. Owners were so friendly & seemed like genuine, down to earth people. This is probably one of the few campsites left in Australia that isn't a money grab, $5 a night pp. Location is stunning, you can camp right by the water. Perfect for kayaking, fishing & swimming. Dog friendly too. Plenty of walking & exploring to be done. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back!
