A great place to camp beside the river. Peaceful, quiet. The camp owners are great to deal with!

My stepdad would always tell me about the great times we had camping out here when I was growing up, and old age must be getting to me because I could barely remember any of it! Great to come back out and revisit the memories! We used to make a real "boys weekend" of it or so he tells me. It was great to come back here after so many years, I could clearly remember all the landmarks of the drive up here, the entrance too, but strangely nothing within the actual camping grounds. Great parking, ample space for tents, but for some reason I had constant nightmares and would break down into tears whenever I got near our old camp site. Must have ate something funny on the way up I guess!

Other than driveway which is terrible and takes 4-5 minutes drive everything else is perfect. One of the best camping sites in the region.
There is showers and toilets, hot water, near by the river that you can swim or kayak. Ice bags and fire woods are sold here

We stopped in to check out the camping and the amenities. The manager was more than helpful. The campgrounds offer flat, mowed camp areas close to the creek, Birds and wildlife are a delight. A good basic amenity block on-site as well.

Our favourite camping spot now due to the excellent swimming in the creek, which includes a mini rapids section - great to just lodge yourself in the rocks and have a little nature's spa. Creek doesn't feel crowded even when place is full.
Toilets and showers are basic but that's all you need when camping.
Track to get there is a bit steep and uneven, but I've managed in my little Mazda 2 hatchback, even going back up after rain. Be great when it's fully graded.
It's cash only, wood and ice available.
Lovely owners.

So, we finally made our first camping trip last weekend at the lovely Yarramalong Camping Ground after having to cancel four times in the previous two years!
We were sceptical about taking the trip last weekend, too, due to the wet weather, but it was so worth it to take the risk of going there. We had a great camping experience and can't wait to return. If you have a young family looking for a camping ground that’s not too far away from home, then I would recommend this lovely campsite which is approximately 1 hour away from IPSWICH and one and a half hours away from Brisbane. Yet it's not too far away, but you'll find yourself in the middle of a quiet and den bushland where you can be with nature and breathe in the fresh air all day long. There are also plenty of things to do and see bush-walking, campfire, feeding the horses, swimming, canoeing (surf ski available for hire from the kiosks), fishing, rock tower building; seeing kangaroos skipping around, goanna, echidna, cockatoo birds, the clear night sky filled with stars and the milky way to watch. The individual campsite space is quite generous, costing a family $ 4 $40 per day (check out at your desired time). Campground facilities are good, and their hot water system is excellent! I had a medical need during our stay, and Sharyn helped me to address it. She's a down-to-earth, caring and professional lady who is responsive and patient with all of our enquiries. Happy camping, everyone 😊

What a beautiful place. The care takers are such lovely people . Spot is peaceful and green. There are toilets and showers , but no power or drinking water so you have to be self sufficient in that department. We just came back from a weekend away and can't wait to go back again. It's a quiet spot to relax in nature . Absolute bliss.

Peter and Sharon are lovely hosts. Our stay here was great! Very relaxing. They provide everybody with their own big fire pits. You wouldn't need any bigger. They are huge. Half 44 gallon drums. They put so much work in to Yarramalong. They discovered this place 15 years ago so any info you need to know will be well informed. Will definitely be back to explore more and make this one of our favourite camping places. 10/10 *****

Great spot. Bit "fun" to get into so be prepared terrain might be slippery towing big things with small things.

Toilets and showers available and reasonable. Firewood available too which is great.

Room for kids to ride bikes and dog friendly. Really enjoyed our stay, been before, will come again.

Great location, you can be amongst the trees, see some wildlife and relax. The park managers are fantastically friendly and great to have a chat with or to help you if needed. The facilities are great, hot water and flushing toilets which is a great bonus and you can get wood, some basics and Yarramalong themed items at the kiosk. The creek is great for canoeing, swimming or fishing. Give this lovely location a go, it's definitely worth it.

We only just discovered Yarramalong and spent 4 nights there. Sharon and Peter are lovely hosts. It was exactly what we wanted for a break away from a busy life. Basic amenities, which is what we expected, but lots of lovely hot water for showers. Who could want for more in a bush camp! A fire pit is provided for each site and it was lovely to sit there in the evenings and have dinner next to a glowing fire. The sites are HUGE. Trees everywhere and cicadas and kookaburras abound. A perfect getaway. We will be back.

We had the most lovely time at yarramalong, Sharyn and Peter were so lovely, nothing was too much trouble for them.
The creek was amazing to swim in and the kids easy spend hours down there, from rock jumping in to the creek and swinging from the rope, and making memories and friends.
Fire pits provided, wood available, the cabin was awesome, we absolutely loved our time here. Def off grid which was great. Reception is far and few in-between, but you still manage some here and there. Kiosk, supplies, just perfect. We will definitely be back, so much beautiful nature to take in.
Thank you Peter and Sharyn.

Enjoyed our stay, management were friendly and helpful. Showers were nice and hot. Had a koala pass though our campsite on our last night but we were too slow to get photos. Need to look where you are walking as there are lots of rocks and vines when exploring the beautiful surrounds. Phone reception is a bit patchy on Telstra. Surprising any signal gets through when you look at the surrounding mountains.

Beautiful gem hidden away in the foothills of the Range. Swimming in the creek with the rock walls above you is something you have up experience. Swimming in a pool will never cut it after that ! We’ll definitely be back !

Spent the weekend there Fri-Sun, first time going there and already know I'll be back. For the price, it was excellent. Kay's team really go over and beyond and make you feel welcome. Rubbish collection and wood for fires delivered. The surroundings are shady and well kept. For more privacy, head to the island section. But the Creekside area is excellent, that's where we stayed. You still get reception 1-2 bars. Photos of site were taken in the middle of the day do you can see how the shade looks in full sun.

Had a great relaxing time at the camp grounds. Very clean amenities and great friendly staff. Firewood and ice deliveries from the staff and beautiful fresh water creek for swimming. We will definately be putting this place on the top of our list for holiday and weekend getaways.

Kids and I had a great time camping here again. Sharyn and Peter are always so friendly. Water is always so refreshing. So many places to visit and things to do in the area as well.

A great place for people who love nature and the peace & quiet of the bush. Yarramalong has been our preferred camping place for about 20 years now. The current managers, Chris & Kaye are doing a fantastic job and are making people feel welcome & comfortable. Where else can you have open camp fires, hot showers & clean toilets, ice & fire wood delivered while enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings (including a creek close by). If you are hot in summer you can go for a swim in the creek; if you are cold in winter you can build a campfire to sit around and stay warm. We are very happy to see it staying a natural bush camp - for people & families who want to enjoy the peace & beauty of the natural surroundings; watch the birds; feed the possums (yes, they do come down at night when the camp site is nice & quiet); try to catch sight of a goanna or the elusive platypus; or go swimming, canoeing or fishing in the creek.
