Rocky Hole

A beautiful swimming hole, it feels like a secluded secret. We were lucky and got to enjoy this piece of paradise completely alone! Managed the tracks well in our VW T5 van so can be reached without a 4x4 but would avoid if you have a newer or are precious about your vehicle. We saw many turtles, a lizard, a cheeky cormorant and a red belly black snake basking on the overcast day. We stayed at the campsite nearby which also has beautiful creeks close which can be enjoyed too. No toilets/places to change so go before you arrive and come ready to swim!

oh my god this place is absolutely beautiful. The water was nice and cold and refreshing. A bit of a hike but well worth it.

Flowing water, deep and shallow parts. It was a little bit muddy travelling out there today after the rain but didn’t need to put it into 4x4. Made it easy in 2wd. Sound a 200m walk to the swimming hole. Half the walk from car park is footpath the other half is stairs. Can be quiet slippery but awesome spot plenty of swimming room. Look out just down the road from it, 1km walk return to lookout.

Great spot to have a dip. Water can be quite cold at times, but when running is clear enough to see the bottom. Rocks are quite slippery. Waterfall is a small but soothing site to see, especially on those hot days.

No amenities here, so pop into either the gantry or Neurum Ck camp grounds to use the facilities there.

Easy short walk from the car park.

Great spot for a short bush walk and a swim. 4x4 recommended however when we went in December 2022 the dirt road was flat the entire way from the Gantry, around the loop and up to Neurum Creek Bush Retreat.

Stunning. Worth the drive, better in a 4x4 but we did it in a Hyundai. Beautiful drive the whole way, the kids thought it was so fun, will do it again no problems

Great location in a valley with great scenery for a day trip. 4WD recommended, doesn’t have to be a high clearance vehicle by any means. Best to arrive early before the crowds during summer.

The drive in really is best with a 4WD but we had no problems in our Outlander. Well worth the effort and great for a swim. We got there early and there weren't many other people but the closer it got to lunch more people started to show up.

Beautiful place with a nice waterfall and swiming hole. Would be definitely revisiting in next summer time. Easy short walk from the car park

Peaceful and beautiful spot 😌 the drive in is stunning with the vegetation changing. Got to see fur trees and massive strangler trees and massive vines

Great swimming spot. Fantastic for a day out with the family. Recommend 4wd to access but possible depending on conditions for other cars, but not recommended. Nice location, with some good walks not to far away.

Great 4WD up to Rocky Hole, so worth the visit, a short walk from the carpark and picturesque water holes

A fantastic place for the whole family to have a splash around after doing some driving around. Some parts are quite deep, so keep a close eye on little ones or bring a float down. It's only a short walk from the car park so that is very manageable.

A magic place to visit.. nature in all her glory..
Visiting on a quiet day is recommended as weekends are inhabbited by P plate 4wd enthusiasts..

Lovely little nook in the nature. Accessible by 4x4 or 2x2!

Fresh water in the rocky hole is what I needed to start the morning.
A few kilometres away from the Gantry - this place is definitely worth visiting.

Fantastic rock pools and waterfalls, very scenic and tranquil.

Great spot for a swim in the D’Aguilar ranges. You will need a four-wheel drive for access.
