Amazing whisky bar, very hidden down an alley way then down an unassuming stair case. Staff were extremely attentive, they offered a very good range of whisky’s, and cocktails for those looking for other drinks. There is a book which has a full list of what’s in stock, not just the big board behind the bar. Worth a visit if you’re a whisky enthusiast. We went mid range with our selection with the drinks being in the $40 - $60 each, a good way to test bottles that are in the $350+ category or bottles that are limited/hard to find.

The Baxter Inn was amazing and decent, its cool because located in a very secret corner, in the favourite of my Sydney bar list.

One of the most lovely place to have conversations with friends or family, with the nice atmosphere, friendly bartenders and security staff.

Also the drinks were great as well, the bartenders show their professional skills, and they have lovely biscuits with drinks.

Absolutely loved this whiskey bar! Definitely recommend. They have soo many types of whiskeys to chose from. The use fresh apple juice for one of their off menu cocktails. I loved the music here. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Oh man! This place rocks! American speakeasy feel located in an alley down a set of stairs. If you can find this place, it is well worth a visit. Whiskeys galore. The staff is super knowledgable and will steer you in the right direction depending on your taste and budget. Best part is the atmoshere. Just a great place to hang out.

This bar was amazing! The ambience, music, lighting, service were all top tier! I asked the lovely bartender on last night 19/2 to surprise me with a cocktail and he smashed it! Asked me if I had any allergies, if I liked sweet/bitter/sour etc and then whipped up the best cocktail i’ve possibly ever had! His level of attention and patience despite being very busy and having a line of people waiting was amazing!

The bartenders all worked seamlessly together behind the bar, it was fascinating to watch. Definitely an experience and would recommend!!

Hot dang, just walked into (actually struggled to find the entrance) of one of the good bars in Sydney. Hands down great pretzels, great cocktails (try the Hollywood & Vine if you may) and great service (Hayden & Finlay are the MVPs). Gotta keep coming back and back.

Hands down, still the best whiskey bar in Sydney. I always opt to sit at the bar, so I can get the recommendations from the knowledgeable bar staff. It always amazes me how much they know, remember and hit the mark with their suggestions. The selection on offer is enormous and I always end up getting to sample whiskeys that are tasty and won't find in your local Dan Murphy's store. But they do those as well, if you are looking for it. My best experience has always been to sample scotches from the various regions in Scotland. It always makes for a great night. Keep up the excellent work team.

Must go to place in Sydney. I have never been to a place with as much whiskey. They have a bible and they know their history. I pretty much had a whiskey tasting your of Australia and the prices are reasonable and visible. Glenn and Glynn were both exceptional. Thanks again.

Must go! Well known yet tucked away in the corner of an inner alley and guarded by a friendly bouncer, with a vast selection of scotches, whiskeys, delicious signature cocktails and old time blues tunes. True library just for spirits!

The nostalgia of having to walk into a dark laneway and then down and back entrance to a basement to find an Old Style whisky Bar was like walking back in time! Sitting at the Bar you get overwhelmed by the selection of whisky on display! And the continuous cocktail making performance was entertainment enough for anyone looking for a good night out! Only found this place due to the lack of venue opening at late hours on a weekday, and this place open till 3am!

Old fashioned bourbon never out of fashion if you try at this American style inn. Bit crowded in weekends still worth it.

Are you enthusiastic and passionate about whisky? If the answer is yes,
you definitely need to visit this place, I think they have more than 500 whisky around the world, which probably could be more. It's a hidden bar in the heart of cbd, nice music, and nice pretzel snacks.

This place is iconic bringing a very special vibe. We love every single drink the bartender recommended for us including the amazing cocktails on the menu. My fav is ventura and headlights 🥺. We will be back 😊

One of the top five bars in the world for me. The surprise entry into a different reality always brings a smile. Top shelf liquor, mixed by professional s. Can't recommend it any higher

Great vibes and service, couldn't give 5 stars for Atmosphere due to the noise level but I guess it's understandable due to how popular this place is~

Intimate whisky bar right in the heart of Sydney. The atmosphere is classy, and the drinks are super refined. Old fashioned was one of the best I've had. Whisky selection is comprehensive. Beer selection has some interesting drops which was a pleasant surprise. Service was impeccable, the barstaff were friendly and patient, even though we went during the most busy time on a Saturday night. Free pretzels which are definitely appreciated. Absolutely highly recommended!

Stupidly amazing and superb whiskey options. If you like browns, you MUST go!
