Surry Hills Shopping Village

I love the fact that it's located on the ground floor of a single level building and has a big car park right outside that is free of charge to park there while you do your shopping. It also has the biggest variety of products that I have seen any Coles store has.

Sorry to see Shops closing down to make way for Apartments. always enjoyed this Centre. Cole's and some Shops hanging on but the Cafe is unfortunately closing ☹ this weekend.

Sad to see this place go after all these years. It's a simple shopping centre but a meeting place for many people especially the older generation. Hopefully the new centre won't be a boring place that lacks charm. Don't know why it's been dubbed 'murder mall'.

grocery store! What more could you want? Other stores look interesting but have never entered any of them. Nice hometown vibes very chill reminds me of the old skool shopping villages I grew up in as a kid. But it's coles in here and ite always been the one I've gone too over woolies

Look. Any place that is nicknamed "murder mall" I approach with a certain reluctance. But it is just big enough to get your shopping done, has 90% of what you need and frankly enough parking to satisfy a larger shopping precinct.

More like a Convenience Shopping Mall with very limited choices, nevertheless this small shopping complex provides essentials to this large area of Redfern/Surry Hills. Hosting a Coles Supermarket, a Flight Centre, Pickerings Butcher (one of Sydney's better quality and reasonably priced butchers), a Medical Centre, Liquorland, Surry Hills Village Newsagency, Chicks Ahoy, Surry Hills Village Grocer and Deli, Blooms The Chemist, Blue Seaford, a $2 shop, a sushi shop, a mobile phone shop and is itself home to the Surry Hills Post Office.

Great florist inside the store. Mark helped us on short notice to get us 1100 Roses for an event for a great price. Highly recommended.

Convenience of a little shopping centre with all what you need: Coles, Australia Post, liquor store, hairdresser, little veggie market... hopefully this will even be a nicer place in a few years once they'll be done renovating!

At 'The Surry Hills Village' there is a bit of everything including free Outdoor Parking and that is Imensly important to Local Residants. There is Coles, Liquor Land of corse, a Great hair Salon and Nail place, Matthew is great he does my Hair, today took a Chance on a Tint, looks great thanks Matthew. The Centre Staff are so friendly and has a good Butcher, Flightcentre, Lilydale Chicken Shop, as well as a Sea food shop where they do Fish and Ships, ' Pick the Prawns, Fish that you like'. There is an independent Fresh Friut and Veg Grocer as well as a Florest, a small Cafe and Patisserie Shop, a Cake Shop, You can even get your keys cut. Blooms the Chemist is vital for the Surry Hills Community and very well stocked. THE STAFF AT 'BLOOMS' EVEN DELIVER MY MEDICATION EVERY FORTNIGHT!! There is a great eat in/Takeaway Chinese Restaurant as well as a Small Computer Store and Sushi take away not to mention a Florest and Aust. Post. The Centre itself is tired and due to major structual re development, (TORN TO THE GROUND AND REBUILT BASICALLY) which in a way is a shame but necessary! I can't Imagine where all the Surry Hills and Redfurn Local Community including the Elderly, Disabled without transport will go for their Basic Medical and Food needs. Not having a Post Office will be Catastrophic for Locals,Elderly or otherwise that need to pay bills send letters including their Rent, Electricity, Bpay, PO Boxs ECT. 'SURRY HILLS SHOPPING VILLAGE' is my Local and has been my Life Line for 10 Years and I don't know what we as Residents will ever do without it! Andrew

Well placed small shopping village with an array of convenient amenities. With the customary supermarket and Chinese restaurant serving quality food.

It's convenient close to my home & there is a Coles Supermarket there a Blooms chemist,hair dresser,newsagent plus various other shops & cafes with a car park

Known affectionately by locals as Murder Mall, Surry Hills Shopping Village is a true slice of local life. Enjoy the OG businesses while you can.

It's good as offering quite a lot of services for people, fruit market, gift's, newsagent, phone repairs, Australia Post, chemist, and More. It's great value.

I hear this is closing down if they had any sense they would build a two story shopping centre it needs it they will have a lot more customers and happy shoppers

Great restaurants. Coles. Reasonably priced decent food. But the place is filled with meth heads doing nangs and shooting up.

A great little shopping center. All my shopping needs in one place. Always clean and the shop assistants are all friendly.

Have good parking facilities, nice Seafood/fish shop and other groceries available. Recommended.

It has most of the needs of the community under one roof... The coles especially is one place my family and I frequent.
