One of the best curated toy shops I’ve ever been too. So many classic, creative and thoughtful toys for anyone. Not to mention books, cards, sunglasses, watches… honestly you won’t be disappointed and Pamela and her team are so friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend enough.

I was so sad when they moved from the big store near the station thinking they’d closed down, but they’d only moved! And I adore the new space - it’s light, bright and beautiful and feels so welcoming, with a really stunning collection of curated pieces that I can (and have) spent hours examining.

I’ve had such great chats with Pamela, the owner, who was so patient with my indecisiveness and so kind. There’s no pressure to buy, which is so helpful when I’m scouting for ideas for my young cousin’s but am broke. It means I’m always thrilled to go back when I have the funds to choose truly delightful gifts (and things for myself, bc I’m a big kid at heart). All the other staff I’ve met have also been lovely too.

There’s also a range of price points which I really appreciate. While I would love to be able to buy a zoo of artisanal wooden creatures or luxurious fairy dolls, it’s not feasible when I have four birthdays in a month or have a dozen kids to buy for at Christmas. So I love that there’s budget friendly options like tiger tribe and other smaller gifts for when I have to tighten the spending reins. And then I know I can also get something truly special, unique, and beautiful for the occasions I can splash out a bit more.

We are shopping online due to lockdown at the moment which has been great, however I am looking forward to the lockdowns lifting so we can go and visit our fave store in person again.

You’re sure to find it at this store. Have been there a few times now and it’s always come through.

Make sure to use the extremely helpful staff. Generally I tell them the age and anything major the kid does or does not like and they can suggest a number of presents (at a number of prices) all of which seem like a good fit. Both kids (and parents) have been very happy with each gift we have bought.

Complimentary gift wrapping is also very quick and beautifully done.

Brilliant and adorable little store with the best selection of toys. Highly recommend for everyone to visit if you have a little one!!! It also has the best Maileg selection.

As somebody who’s a fan of open play toys, I’m so relieved to have found a physical store in Sydney! Most of the online and brick and mortar stores that stock Grimms, Grapat etc are all located in other states or in Europe where the shipping is way too expensive. The owner of this store is a lovely lady and the stock here is pretty amazing!

These last years shopping for the grandies had become a bit of a joyless, generic ritual. But passing by and stepping inside this toy store was so delightful! I have purchased online from Monkey Puzzle on a number of occasions. I have found Pamela to be honest, kind and knowledgable. It's a shame we don't live closer to the store as I know we would be regulars.
