I ordered a set of fins and a hand surfer to help with the recovery of a busted elbow.
After doing a bit or research and ordering online, I received an email from Rikki saying the fins I was after were out of stock. My initial response was, 'here we go again with online purchasing'. However, in his email Rikki offered to upgrade me to a different style of fin for the same price. What was even more impressive, was a phone number to ring for customer service (in my experience with online purchasing, finding someone to talk to can be really hard). I rang Rikki and we spoke about what I was trying to do and how to help with my rehab for my elbow. He stayed true to his word and upgraded my fins to better set at no extra cost. They arrived a couple of days later.
The fins, the fin savers and the hand surfer are all excellent. I have used them over and over and they are the gift that keeps on giving. Excellent quality and the hand surfer is made from recycled plastic from the ocean.

Some of the best handplanes! Make so many barrels with em! More of a high performance hand plane, not super great for someone if they are just learning how to bodysurf. But if you want to take your wave riding to the next level, amazing planes

I've been wanting to buy a handplane for years - when I was searching I chose WAW because they were 99% recycled with a good portion from ocean plastic. I was not disappointed, the first day I took it out the surf was pretty rubbish, but with the help of the handplane I managed to make the best of it and it 100% made for better surfing. I'm now a huge fan of these - can wholeheartedly reccomend!

Had my handplane for a week and used once now, epic results! So easy to engage a wave face or pull out. I can even take off at same place on the wave I would with a bodyboard. So much fun, well done!!

I’ve been bodysurfing without a handplane for a number of years and after testing out a WAW handplane I was surprised at how light and comfortable it felt and how it increased my speed in the water. I wanted to craft my own design for barrel riding so I thought I’d give the workshop a go.

From the moment the workshop begin I was impressed with Rikki’s knowledge and experience of creating a handplane and the tools and process he adopts to go through the process. It was very rewarding to take a blank of wood and sculpt it into my very own hydrodynamic sexy masterpiece.

If you’re a pro bodysurfer or beginner bodybasher, I highly recommend attending the hands on shaping workshop and creating your own handplane.

I have always loved being out in the ocean and have actively used surfboards and bodyboards.

I recently purchased this beautiful Pinstrip Fish Wooden Handplane, and I love it. It is my new favourite toy.

As I have bodysurfed all my life (now 55) just using my body, this combined with a set of fins is a game changer. It is so much fun to use and makes it feel like I am on my bodyboard.

The bad fish hand plane works great. Tried in 2 to 5 foot beach breaks. Just the right amount of bouyancy. Maybe to concave could be a little less. Feels good knowing it is mostly recycled plastic.

Great organisation to deal with, they replaced a hand board that pulled one of the mounting points out on one side due to a big wave crunching me. Did it cheerfully and quickly, and I am very impressed with their great customer service. Thank you guys.

Excellent build quality, smooth purchase experience, and environment friendly.

I have 2 models, a wooden moontail and a red badfish. I alternate on them depending on the waves. The slightly longer wooden moontail for cruising on small waves that I ride straight to the shore. The shorter badfish for punchier waves that are harder to paddle against when using the moontail. Both hold up really well, in fact still look brand new, even after being used around 15~20 times already. I got the hemp drawstring bag with the moontail but not with the badfish. Take note though that it's big enough to carry both handplanes(see last picture).

As I was beginning my bodysurfing experience, 3-4 years ago, I hit a plateau where I felt like I have not made the progress that I wanted. When I got the moontail, my learning leap-frogged as I was able to have a better understanding of my body positioning on the wave.

Kudos to wawhandplanes for this wonderful product. Delivery is as promised, I got mine in 2 days as I live like a few suburbs away from their warehouse. On top of all that, it's environmental friendly, as I hear they plant a tree for each wooden handplane purchased. On the other hand, the badfish is the product of recycling plastic collected out of the ocean.
