Spicy Mee Sotong is a must try if you like food that is rich in taste! Hometown Braised rice is very good as well. The most tender pork belly I ever had in Sydney!

The food was really delicious and full of flavour and the staff were so kind and welcoming. The restaurant also has free caramel popcorn. It tasted exactly like the popcorn from Malaysia. And the char kway teow was so spicy and well cooked and I felt like I was in Penang eating char kway teow.

I’m from Penang, and I can guarantee that the food here has the 100% authentic Penang flavor.
It’s incredibly tasty, and I can tell the owner puts a significant amount of effort, heart, and passion into crafting authentic Penang dishes for people missing home.
It’s definitely worth trying!

Self ordering which is efficient and the food was served pretty quickly.
One of the better Char Kway Teow we have tried so highly recommend.

Their Char Kuey Teow is the best and most authentic I ever had in Sydney. Say it from a Penang kia that had tasted from most of the restaurants that sell CKT, I must say none in Sydney actually taste that authentic. Lulu’s is one of the best too but that in Melbourne. Others food such as Loh bak, hokkien mee(prawn noodle) are also very authentic and delicious! You really can’t find it anywhere in Sydney.
Also after being there few times, I’ve notice the food portions are now reasonably sized which is a positive thing to see. Definitely recommend anyone who loves Penang food especially CKT lovers to try it out!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Char Penang Foodie, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for what was to come.

I’m a big fan of Malaysian food and this place nails it! If you’ve ever tried Penang street food, you’ll definitely spot some similarities here. Great fresh food, ambiance is clean and inviting. Kids love the welcoming popcorn!

I've visited this place multiple times and it's clear they've made some positive changes. The portion sizes are more generous and the service is notably quicker than it used to be. A step in the right direction!

I am also from Penang. The CKT is really the best so far in Sydney. The koay teow is on the right thickness and taste.

Overall, my experience at this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The combination of delectable food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a memorable dining experience.

Their signature hokkien mee & loh mee are absolutely amazing and authentic.

Their Signatures Hokkien Mee & Hokkien Loh are delicious .They also have option for noodles.
Hokkien Char & Char kuey teow are also a MUST to TRY, especially with their homemade sambal.

Been craving Hokkien & Lor Mee for a while, knowing this place is selling this dish. I was dropped by this little gem to try their mixed Hokkien & Lor Mee, the noodles tasted so yummy 😋and authentic to what I have in my hometown, Penang.

Will definitely come back again to have their mixed Hokkien & Lor Mee again, and try some of their other dishes ❤❤❤
