I loved our 2N stay experience! Me and a group of friends rented cabinets side by side and the rooms were very clean and well decorated. The yoga classes and teachers were great, the night meditation classes as well. We really felt welcomed, relaxed and disconnected from society there!

The food was very good but somewhat repetitive over the weekend.

I recommend staying at the cabins closer to the temple as it can be quite of a walk otherwise.

Would def go back!

We stayed for 4 nights, rooms were clean, enjoyed the beautiful green quite environment, yoga classes, yogic philosophy, vegan/ vegetarian food, seeing the cows and the temple worship. I found the yoga teachers and classes very good, there were many volunteers who brought a lot of joy and fun and the priests and acharyas at the temple were very helpful and gave knowledge in subtle manners. Loved the experience of yogic living.
Only problem I faced was taking my mother uphill to the temple as we did not have a car, but some kind people did help us. Maybe the authorities can add some benches or stones to sit on, on the way up or you can get your car ..but too many cars can spoil it maybe.. also if possible they can add more Iskon merchandise in the shops. Internet might be an issue at times but thats ok for such a place. If you are coming from Ballina Uber is the best mode.
I read one of the reviews below about blindfolded dance and that makes me sad. Hope the authorites educate their people and such instances don’t occur again.

Beautiful peaceful place in nature to relax body and mind, practise yoga and meditation...
The cabin was superb, modern, self contained, within a walking distance from the temple and the eco village.
The vegetarian food was healthy and abundant.

Amazing 7N retreat stay in a budget room. Serene atmosphere with plenty to fill in your day if you desire, otherwise you can simply relax. Delicious vegetarian and vegan food. Good selection of classes/workshops, meditations, sound bowls and yoga :)

I absolutely loved it here, so much so that I’m returning again with my hubby as I raved about it so much.
The staff and volunteers are so lovely and I really enjoyed the food too.
Counting down the days until our next stay, so looking forward to the peace and tranquility.

Three of us stayed for a girls weekend- what a wonderful experience! The family cabin was a delight with a satisfying walk to the village and a brief walk to the temple & dining area.
The food was wonderful - vegetarian and vegan options with serves that were plentiful - it was delicious and a great variety.
The activities were varied and the option to participate or not gave us the freedom to create the perfect weekend to suit us.
We loved it and look forward to visiting again 🙏🙏🙏

I’m so glad I found this place a few months back. I had no idea what to expect, of course there’s the pre conceived ideas about Hare Krishnas that I had heard. But what I experienced was deeply soulful - a rejuvenation for the body and mind. I’m grateful to have been part of the Krishna village. Thank you for having me. It took a couple of days for me to dare being part of Kirtan, I recommend you try it when you’re here. The food is plentiful and the people beautiful. Rooms are basic (stayed in the shipping containers) but more than good for myself. Slice of heaven the place where this is.

This was a really great place to get away and get loose... lots of varied yoga sessions, done by thoughtful people. The cabins were lovely, the views amazing while walking around, the vegetarian food was tasty and suited fine for a non vegetarian, and is all grown locally on the farm. There are several options for staying from self contained cabins to backpacker style rooms to camping facilities all the way to free stay of you help by volunteering on the farm. This is a yoga teacher training place as well so you might end up with a newer teacher giving it a go but it's obvious they take the yoga seriously and they are well trained even if a little nervous once in a while. Mt Warning is right next door as well as Murwillumbah being a very short drive away with a very cool walk along the river where there are kilometres of high art graffiti and several cafes if you want a day trip away from the serenity. Don't let the name put you off... this is a working Hare Krishna village but there is a very light touch and no preaching which makes anyone feel welcome and the price is way more reasonabe than many other retreats. So if you want a break from the normal world and seek some tranquillity in a beautiful place with some strong yoga and beautiful people, this could be the place for you.

My week long stay in Krishna Village was an amazing experience. I returned with a calm mind and a healthier self. It’s a community with a mix of staff, volunteers, trainee yoga teachers and retreaters.Everyone was welcoming, pleasant and I ended up meeting some amazing people! The place has a great sense of community with a spiritual component. The yoga studio is spacious and it has great views. The food was fresh and delicious. My cabin had a comfortable bed with great views. Don’t expect luxury in terms of cleanliness and provisions like toiletries. I wish I could give this place 6 out 5 stars!

I have had an amazing experience during my 4 weeks volunteer at Krishna village.
Living in a community with the yoga philosophy, feeling the spirituality environment, around lovely and supportive people made me feel home.
I have find a place to clean my mind l, being myself and also meeting so many people which began a family with many different experiences to share.
I fall in love with Krishna Consciousness and the village.
I'm highly recommend for everyone.

This place is special in every single aspect. From the people you will meet, the blessed food they offer you, the Hare Krishnas, the energy, location....Everything is so amazing and I promise it can really change your life. Go for at least a 3 nights stay and let the main unfold. Spend some time in the temple, feel it. They are different. This place is different. You will leave there differently from how you got there.

The Krishna Village is exceptionally peaceful with very comfortable accommodation. The people are friendly and kind, the food is delicious and healthy, the free activities (like yoga) and various talented therapists are just wonderful. All this set to the backdrop of 1000 breathtaking acres with happy cows, certified organic farm and sacred temple. Highly recommend for people who can actually appreciate this rare spiritual oasis.

I absolutely loved my stay at Krishna village and couldn’t recommend it enough. Beautifully situated in the Byron Hinterland, a perfect place to visit to rest and rejuvenate. Self driven flexible schedule, amazing vegetarian meals, yoga and yogic living classes and free time in the schedule to explore the stunning beaches and and rural hinterlands nearby. All this as well as the lovely people you will meet!

Dear Radha, Monique, and Yadu,

I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you and the many others I met at Krishna Village for your kindness and generosity with your time, your thoughts and just making it an all round great stay! Thank you also to Connor for the loan of his vehicle for my stay - it just made crossing the creek to the village from my cabin in torrential rain much easier each day for yoga and kirtan. I did feel like I could have just escaped to this simpler way of life so easily if I didn't have other commitments in the city!

My home away from home was simply beautiful. It was clean with everything I needed for a comfortable stay - Cabin 2, in the hills facing a forest and lake - I spent many hours reading and just daydreaming whilst I enjoyed the view from my verandah. I saw butterflies of every colour in the rainbow and heard the musings of several birds, and one of my favourites - the Kookaburra in particular.

The food was amazing - my body thanked me for it. I am trying to implement a vegetarian diet at home. It will take time but I am determined for my health. The yoga lessons were second to none and again, my mind and body thanked me for the daily practice. I have for the better part managed to keep this going. I loved the Kirtan sessions and am also chanting/singing when I can - it puts me in a wonderful mindset.

A special thank you to Monique - your healing hands are truly a gift! As I had felt with my entire experience, my angels orchestrated this trip to Krishna Village and they orchestrated the QiGong session after we spoke about it and just as soon as I got home - amazing! I was able to take part in a beginners workshop a couple of days later.

I met many people with a story, some similar, some different, some who'd been where I am now and able to share their experiences and thoughts but in the end all beautiful souls with so much love to share. I felt totally supported. Bharat and Radha at the temple, thank you for your time, words of wisdom and kindness also.

I will definitely be back and have told so many people about my stay at Krishna Village. Next time around I hope to enjoy the acreage, the beautiful cows and orchards. It is truly a beautiful surroundings with a special ambience to heal.

So once again, Love and Light to all there,
Sujata

Village in Australia

Uki is a village situated near Mount Warning in the Tweed Valley of far northern New South Wales, Australia in the Tweed Shire. At the 2011 census, Uki had a population of 765 people. Its name may have come from an aboriginal word for "small water plant with a yellow flower and edible root". The name UKI was actually derived from the limber mills in the area. Prime timber for export was marked UK 1, as in timber destined for the United Kingdom - grade 1. Hence UK1, which colloquially named the township UKI. source
