Such a peaceful spot and nobody else there when I went today (apart from 1 lady kayaking 😊) Will definitely be coming back here very soon with my paddle board! Check out the pics - stunning scenery 😍

Nice little educational stop to the Dam on our way out for a picnic. Signage with photos and diagrams are always a great visual and talking point for the curious children and adults. You can also walk out along the dam wall (it’s fenced in) and see down below. Picnic areas at the bottom also.

A beautiful place to either go for a walk up a peaceful fire trail of a paddle in the dam with perfect still water and plenty of little coves and nooks to explore.

Neat and tidy spot to stop for a break. While not specified as a walking track, the trail at the last car park offers a challenging walk up some steep hills.

Stunning location for kayaking.
There's a pretty park with good facilities , a boat ramp, and easy launch site at the southern end of the dam. The negative comments are mostly from those who went to the actual dam site northern end.

Quiet. Out of the way. A good place to stop and have a rest. Very friendly lyre bird who likes being fed snacks. Not much in the way of facilities, but, if you are travelling with small children (dogs) it provides a rather nice walk. Try it.

Great dog friendly bush walk with lots of birds, if you're lucky you might even hear a lyre bird ( not to be confused with the friendly but lonely peacock). Ground orchids in late winter early spring are always a treat. Take the canoe for a paddle to get close to the birdlife, you might see lily trotters.

Beautiful small dam and a perfect place to stop for lunch, I stopped in for a few photos and a stretch of the legs while on a road trip for a wedding,

A few tracks lead down into the gorge below the dam wall. For the more adventurous.

About Uki
Village in Australia

Uki is a village situated near Mount Warning in the Tweed Valley of far northern New South Wales, Australia in the Tweed Shire. At the 2011 census, Uki had a population of 765 people. Its name may have come from an aboriginal word for "small water plant with a yellow flower and edible root". The name UKI was actually derived from the limber mills in the area. Prime timber for export was marked UK 1, as in timber destined for the United Kingdom - grade 1. Hence UK1, which colloquially named the township UKI. source
