Caminetto Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria

I’ve been going to this restaurant for years. The food tastes the same every time. My favourite is the Gnocchi Gorgonzola, it’s to die for. I have it with the Italian Salad. Add chilli flakes and Parmesan to the Gnocchi. It will melt in your mouth. The atmosphere is terrific. A little hidden gem down a lane way in the heart of The Rocks.

Very well priced for where it’s located. When for a family meal with 7 people. The service was excellent, everything came out in a very timely manner even though it was packed. The food was excellent. Even asked me if I needed a takeaway container before I’d even thought to ask. Would recommend to anyone!

This was an awesome find for dinner while we were recently in Sydney. It was so close to the hotel we were staying at & I couldn’t fault the food! It was so delicious! We had bruschetta, sizzling prawns & sizzling oysters! Partner had marinara linguine! I can’t forget the awesome quality.

Authentic Italian. Great atmosphere. Felt like we eating in an Italian street. The Italian wines were delicious and it was well priced. The small pasta dishes were ample portions for us.

This place is special for its food quality. I would highly recommend it for its top notch fantastic tasting food. Every dish ordered was delicious and right portioned. In particular I would recommend having a pizza and the seafood Risotto. Service is nothing spectacular, pretty lukewarm. Any attempt at interaction with 3 different members of service staff was surprisingly not returned with any warmth and lacking in character. In fact, upon entry I had to go in and find someone to seat our table. I would still return to try other dishes and i know they will be superb!

Very good experience last night. We ordered the carbonara and a pizza and both were very large portions for the price. We started off with bruschetta also, which is the best bruschetta I’ve ever had, so fresh and delicious!! I’d definitely come back here again.

Great comfort food! We got the vegetarian lasagne, vegetarian pizza, grilled haloumi, and fries! All were delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy with food served as we liked it in that order! Awesome overall 👏

From the moment I arrived I was shown to an outside table undercover where there was heaters going to keep me cozy amongst a busy atmosphere. The wait staff were very attentive to me, I was impressed! So much so that two different waitresses poured me a glass of water twice! I would recommend the bruschetta and veal scallopini. Both were generous servings and very delicious! Overall I would recommend this Italian restaurant as the staff and food were amazing!

Best meal since arrived in Sydney. Seafood risotto absolutely amazing.

Here the food is like homemade. Very tasty and tender ravioli, as well as caprese salad. The weather was good so we had lunch outside. Great atmosphere and friendly waiters.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat. We shared the lunch special Ham and cheese pizza with a salad. YUM!
Pizza was very tasty and the olives in the salad were amazing!
Music was great, staff were attentive and friendly. For a moment in time we felt like we were in Italy! Thank you :)

Held an end of year gathering for our staff Friday 15th for 15 people. The place was packed so all staff were flat strapped.
We liaised with management before the event and, for a large group, they normally recommend a shared menu. We were fine to go with that for starters (garlic bread and cold mezza platters) but preferred everybody to choose their own mains.
They OK'd this providing everyone made their choice before the day. On the night everything was prepared and delivered right on time and, overall, the diners were very happy with everything.
Plenty of great feedback after the night as well.
This is good hearty cooking served in generous proportions.
Very recommended.

Comfort food, I had the Hawaiian pizza. The ham was quite abundant and softer than what we get in the U.S. My table in the back was so cool. There is a cliff and I truly enjoyed the location. Staff was friendly and it was sweet and funny to watch the family at the next table.

Sensational Italian food every time we have been here - portions are huge & well priced. Right in middle of the rocks. We have been coming here for about 10 years & always great food & service

This was a great restaurant we found. A great spot to sit, excellent service from the beginning to the end. The food was amazing and very reasonable prices, favourite food from our holiday, have to go back again

Amazing food and service. We always go there when we go to Sydney. Our waiter, Masassus, was friendly and knowledgeable. The bruschetta is the best I've ever had. The gnocchi is amazing and the marina (either pizza or pasta) is first rate.

The tiramisu is so good, I thought the angels themselves had descended from heaven to bless my taste buds.
