Let's Eat Lunch Bar and Cafe

I visited Let's Eat Lunch Bar & Cafe with a friend today. We shared a lemongrass beef and a Q & T special.

The thing I don't understand about this place is that they are not consistently good, they get better every time!

The lemongrass beef was delicious. The Q & T special (my go to) today, was hands down the best Banh Mi I have ever had!
I was seriously having a "When Harry met Sally" moment.

Couple that with the service, speed and love, I don't think there is a better place in Perth.

Got the Q&T special and the crispy pork with a vietnamese iced coffee, and all were great! The bread was light and airy and an amazing vessel for the filling— which were both outstanding. The portions are also bigger than usual banh mis that we were happily satisfied after eating!

Q & T were also very friendly! Q knew their regulars and made the place seem warm and welcoming. He seemed so proud of their business that it makes us want to go back and support them (if we were locals!).

Let’s Eat Lunch is a must visit when you’re in WA, not just for the (excellent) food but the people too.

I ordered the roast pork Banh Mi. It was delightful in every way.

I can't recall the last time I had roast pork belly that tuned the crispness of the crackling so perfectly, but the culinary adventure didn't stop there. The cut carrot was so fresh it might have been harvested just that morning, and the crust in the bun was similarly perfect.

Visit this place. Today. And again and again.

One of the best in WA - the bread is what I noticed as being next level compared to the others - definitely recommended 👌

Edit: we came back for the crispy pork bahn mi. Oh my! The best crispy pork bahn mi this side of Saigon?

The bahn mi has to be eaten to be believed. Crusty roll. Delicious ingredients. We will be back.

Ordered some catering for a function via the website. Couldn’t have been easier! Fresh Bánh mì was a hit.
All ready and waiting for me to collect.
Will be back again for catering definitely.

Very busy lunch bar in North Perth, we went at around 1pm. The cafe was busy for lunch rush.

The table were set up outside along footpath. Most of the customer just grab takeaway food and coffee.

We ordered traditional Bahn mi and Q&T Bahn mi.
Both were very tasty and good portion for lunch.

Their coffee was also nice.

Best banh mi in Perth for sure. Came for the first time today and it was definitely worth it. Owner of the place is very friendly and welcoming too. Will definitely recommend and be back.

Among the best Banh Mi in Perth. This one is vegetarian. Astoundingly quick service, first class flavours.

This is easily the best Banh mi in Perth.

The ratio of meat to veges was ideal. Perfect spice through fresh chilli and chilli oil. The bun was just the right amount of crisp on the outside, soft on the inside.

I only ordered one initially but had to return for a second to share with my husband.

Very reasonably priced for the quality!

The gentleman who served me was very kind.

Great fresh Bahn Mi, I always come here on my lunch break, line is always out the door it’s that good! 😍 Fried chicken is tasty too! Kinda embarrassing how often I’ve been coming here, even the staff realised I keep coming back 😂🫣

I can say comfortably that I have been to most of the Bánh Mi places around Perth, if not quite all. I can also say that, even with a very crowded top tier, Let’s Eat LB & Cafe are the No 1 in Perth for Roast Pork BM (Bánh Mi Thit Heo Quay).

Their buns are magnificent, easily the best in Perth. Their baker stretches out the traditional rolls, creating a lighter style that remains crispy on the outside. The fact that it’s longer then opens the opportunity to squeeze in more fillings… and they do!

The pate is rich without being overpowering. The coriander is fresh and proportioned perfectly. The carrots are deliciously pickled. The sauce adds a punchy umami flavour. The chillies accentuate the taste and give it that fiery kick.

And the hero, the Roast Pork... Plentiful, rich , fatty and so very crunchy. Then they top it with pork crackling dust because, well, why not?! Everything works in spectacular combination to create an orchestra of harmonious symphony in your mouth. This masterpiece is faultless, and must be consider at the top echelon of RP Bánh Mi’s, if not at the very top. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

And if that’s not enough, I dare you to try the Q & T Special. It has everything I mentioned above, plus another four styles of pork crammed in as well. It may be the single greatest thing I have ever eaten. It was definitely the best $12 I ever spent!

This was such a great experience. First time coming here after recommendations from friends, and it didn't disappoint. The ordering was very simple and easy. The wait time was very short considering how busy it was. The Spicy Chicken Vietnamese Roll Banh Mi was amazing. Everything tasted fresh and flavourful. The portion size was quite large as well considering the competition in the city. Must visit this place for a mean lunch.

Can recommend with confidence, you will not be disappointed.
Expect lunchtimes rush. Get in early to avoid missing out.

It's been a long time coming, but I finally had the opportunity to visit the famous Let's Eat Lunch Bar & Cafe yesterday! 😊

I had been hanging to try the Q&T Special after I had seen everyone raving about it on Perth’s Best Bánh Mì page whilst I was in COVID isolation. Unfortunately they had sold out of roast pork (unsurprisingly at that time of day), but Quang offered to substitute the roast pork for chicken. Of course!!

Now, I have seen the hundreds of photos from everyone else's reviews and I knew this Banh Mi was going to look great, but I wasn't quite prepared for the sheer size of it! It would have to be the longest BM I have ever had. I can't imagine how intimidating the competition BM was at twice the length of this, perhaps I will have to find out one day? 😳

The presentation of this Banh Mi is simply stunning. It is an assault on the senses. It doesn't stop there though, because it has a flavour that is absolutely worthy of the appearance. The bread is beautifully baked, soft and fluffy with a lovely crunchy outer shell. I was pleasantly surprised how little crumbs there were.

The chicken and pork was tender, juicy and plentiful, and were balanced out beautifully by the pickled vegetables, corriander and a nice dose of chilli. The pate, mayo and sauce combined perfectly with the rest of the ingredients to ensure an equal taste to each and every bite. They even add pork crackling dust for that extra crunch! This really is a high quality Banh Mi that will not leave you hungry....

It was an absolute pleasure meeting Quang & Thuy today and it's refreshing to see people so happy at doing what they do so well. Your friendliness and quality of service will keep people coming back for more - I know I will be!! 😊

Excellent Bahn mi, bread was freshly baked, fluffy, and warm, roast pork was superb (and had a lovely bit of crispy crackling), and overall was very flavourful

Awesome food and service. The owner is a very passionate food expert with a positive and friendly attitude. It became the daily coffee place of my colleagues and mine. Great place to begin our work days with.
