Abhi's Indian Restaurant

Very much welcoming and friendly staff. The service and food were very good. The Seafood Molly was excellent. Well prepared and presented. The Crab Urundai was also variety dish that we tried, and it tasted good. A nice Indian Fine Dine place.

I have been coming to Abhi's for over 15 years and have enjoyed every visit. The palak patta chaat, ennai kathrikai, and double ka meetha remain as delightful and flavourful as I remember them since these many years - remarkable consistency. And there are many other items on the menu that are equally as tantalising. Dining here is all the more enjoyable as the staff have never failed to provide excellent service.

Undoubtedly I will be back for more!

Generally as per my experience of indian restaurants in sydney either you can get nice ambience or awesome food. But this experience had an exception when we came to Abhi's. Very lovely, cozy ambience and hands down one of the the most satisfying Indian food we have had. Dishes we tried palak patta chaat, tikka nimbuda, paneer tikka, Hyderabad Murg, garlic naan, veggie pulao and double ka meetha. Couldn't fault a single dish. Everything was just perfect. Hyderabad Murgon, veggie pulao and palak patta chat were the highlights. Great service and very attentive staff. Would recommend it 100 times😄

We had our Engagement Party in the upstairs section of the restaurant. Prior to the event, I had sent some queries via email. Akshay from Abhi's was amazing and willing to accommodate our requests or suggest alternatives. Our guests loved the quality of food. I was very impressed with the table service and professionalism of the staff. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant =)

Simply delicious Indian food with a modern twist. All the classic flavours and dishes are there but they have been more refined and are all beautifully presented. Couldn’t really fault any of the dishes we had. The chickpea spinach fritters and paneer tikka masala entrees were so tasty. Seafood moily curry, veggie curry, dahl, naan bread, roti all great too. Our young kids loved it all too. Attentive and friendly service. Highly recommend Abhis. We have been a few times and will be back.

Abhi’s is a Sydney institution and never disappoints. Don’t miss their Palak Patta Chaat, Cocktail Masala Dosa, Aloo Tikki and Ennai Kathrikai. Good service and great for groups. BYO wine only.

First time dinning at an Indian Restauant and it was so pleasant as everything we ordered was delicious!!! Every dish was packed with bold flavours. Would come back.

I have eaten there thrice now. Heading next time with some mates, love the food, customer service and wine list. Riesling by the class is amazing. Chiken tikka with mint chutney is highly recommended.

Loved the food, definitely worth going if you love Indian.

This had to be one of the most satiating Indian meals I’ve had at a restaurant. I had a masala dosa & the potato palya stuffing was perfect in taste and portion. My partner had the chilli prawns and scallops - said it was beautifully cooked, very fresh and the chilli was just right. For lunch we ordered the Lunch special - Hyderabadi Lamb Biryani . I will say, this has to be the best Biryani I’ve eaten in a while. The flavours were so perfectly balanced , each grain of rice separate . No over done masala , or heavy feeling after eating it…the lamb pieces were bite sized and cooked to perfection . One of the few times I actually ate the meat too . Dessert, again was awesome . The Rose kulfi is fantastic , you can tell it’s all fresh and made in-house. Compliments to the Chefs there today. And lastly , we had fantastic service from Mr.Praveen who looked after us very well . We used to go to AKI’s often and I really missed it when it shut. And though its the same owner, was unsure if Abhi’s would be as good. Let me just say, if anything , this was even better !

Great service and food! Can highly recommend the chaat entree dish and lamb korma for main. Perhaps not quite the creamiest korma I've had, but the lamb was very soft and tender and the sauce pretty beautiful. Naans all went down pretty well, as did their desserts. Chaat blew my mind, I would go back just to have two.

My favourite Indian restaurant. The best entrees palak patta chaat, alu tikki and crab urundai all amazing. Mains also wonderful. I may stray to other Indian restaurants here or there, but I will always return to the best - Abhi’s.

Having been to Abhi’s a few times now, I find the service to be quite attentive and quite fast. The only downside was that when seated upstairs, one of the waitresses kept dropping cutlery and made a lot of noise behind the counter when cleaning.

The dosas are a speciality of this restaurant. Made fresh and presented beautifully in either a small or large size, this is a must try! A lightly fried pancake with a stuffing of either potato or lamb mince, this is a real treat whether eating it on your own or sharing!
We also really enjoyed the chilli prawn and scallop entree served with garlic naans.
The shared meat platter was also a great main option to be shared amongst the table as well.

I think a really nice touch was when we asked for our birthday cake to be served, the waitstaff included a candle and no cakeage fee.

Food was a bit spicy but the Goat curry was awesome, one of the best we had in a long time!!

Very nice restaurant with great food. Need to be aware its pricy though. Great indian cuisine like our family used to have back in uk.

Cosy Indian restaurant. Today, we went for lunch. The food was very good. The service was very good too. I highly recommend. I loved too that the menu is small.

I've been here over 5 times now and they never disappoint! Very tasty food in generous portions, nice staff, good wine list, great desserts, Android nice ambience. We have been here with groups of more than 12 (upstairs), or just in pairs and either way the place is great.
