Tao Cafe

I was very impressed with their selection of gluten-free dishes. The seating was comfortable & the prices were reasonable. The staff were very accommodating. The atmosphere was conducive to having a nice celebratory dinner with friends.

Tao’s is my ultimate food joy in life. My boyfriend and I eat here at least once a week and since I’ve been pregnant all I can crave is their roast pork but have been to sick to go in. I wrote them a little thank you note for having amazing food when ordering online because I miss it SO much and they sent an extra portion of my FAVOURITE dish with a reply 🥺 thank you Tao for always looking after your customers, being so sweet and having amazing food every time I’ve been there 🥰

I am wrapped to have finally found this place, see my photos for the outside of the store, also of some of the lovely dishes available. I tried the Pho Tai Vietnamese dish today. It was nice but I didn't enjoy it as much as I would enjoy a sukiyaki or shabu shabu. In saying that, the coriander, the bean sprouts, the mint, it was all so fresh, even the chilli was nice raw, so obviously very fresh ingredients.

Excellent variety of food. Our favourite was the sushi train. So many beautiful creations ready to gobbled up.

Salmon nigiri, tuna rolls, chicken katsu sushi and many more.

Lots of other dishes available from laksa, fried rice to western food. Great place to meet friends as so many different cuisine options are accessible.

This place is absolutely amazing! The jelly is to die for! And the customer service is delightful!
They have the best napkins on the market and no matter how many you use they will keep replacing them! Wow I felt like royalty!

Have been many times and this place never fails to deliver quality food and friendly service! The staff are very polite, and they serve a wide range of Korean, Japanese and Vietnamese food. The sushi train is constantly full with a wide variety. Approx price per person is $30 based upon some sushi train, a meal and drink. The staff also made our Anniversary one to remember bringing out a cake 🎂 Thank you again Tao Cafe!

Minh was the perfect host, greeting us when we entered and guiding us to a nice table to enjoy the amazing delicacies on offer on the sushi train. Everything we selected was full of flavor. Also has pickled radish on offer on the table to refresh the taste buds for the next dish.
For desert it is best to choose from the delicious items on offer in the cabinet.

Went here for dinner and was very happy with the food and service.
Ordered the Pork Dumplings for Entree and then had the Chang Mai noodles and the Pho Tai soup.
We didnt wait long for our food and the service from staff was really good they were always happy to help.
This restaurant is really good because you have the choice of ordering Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese food all in one restaurant and they also offer a sushi bar where you sit and can pick up any food you like on the conveyor belt.
They price the food by the colour of the plate and on the wall they have the coloured plates and price foe reference.
All in all it was a really good experience and we would be happy to return here again.

I come here regularly for lunch as my work is around the corner. The staff are always lovely, and abide by the COVID protocols in place.

The food has always been amazing, and the service is great! It’s not a bad idea to come here for an early or a late lunch, as I’ve found 12-2 can be quite busy some days!

Probably my 3rd sashimi bento or sashimi plate in the space of 2 weeks and this little gem was only $22. Nice fresh sashimi, sliced thick which didn't affect the meal but the workmanship was sloppy. Delicious salad and a nice miso also.

Plenty of yummy treats on the sushi train to have also. Nice and clean restraunt andnthe waiter there is super nice and very attentive.b

The food was amazing, worth a try

Picked up my usual take away today and it was AMAZING as always. The tuna sashimi is reasonably priced and always fresh and delicious. Very much appreciated.

Sushi is fresh, with a large selection of plates to choose from travelling on the sushi ‘train’.
Also a wide variety of yummy sweets to choose.
Vegan and vegetarian menu available.
Came here for my birthday, and will definitely be returning. The staff are amazing. They truly make ‘Tao’ a pleasant dining experience. Cheerful, very friendly, helpful, attentive, and prompt bringing the meals. They even joined my family in the ‘Happy Birthday’ sing-a-long.😄

Good selection of food from multiple ethnic regions, Thailand, Japanese and Vietnamese.
There is a Sushi train with different Japanese dishes and desert.
All our dishes were enjoyable and tasty. The dishes from the menu were all large serves.
Staff were efficient and effective and friendly.
There is a carpark to the rear of the IGA which is a short walk up passageway back to Albany Hwy and the restaurant.
There is also street parking but limited as very busy area of Vic Park. ACROD parking available in carpark.
Great access for mobility impaired.

The sushi is so good, although is a little on the expensive side the quality is worth the price tag. The booths are great, and being able to order a meal off the menu while getting sushi off the train is really nice. Plus if you feel like it you can have a glass (or a bottle) or wine! Last time I went it was a Wednesday and they had a ‘dish of the night’ (I don’t think it was actually called that, but it was something along those lines) which that night was the pad thai and it was only $10. Such good value! And such a yummy meal.
