The Beef Lot Burger was amazing because of quality and quantity! It has an awesome blend of flavors and they got it done really fast.
The place is good, fulfills its function as a fast food restaurant and its location next to the station is really good.

Amazing quality food! Chicken schnitzel was fresh and great quality not to mention the crispy chips. Would eat here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend and love the late night trading too

So the trains all delayed by hours today but I am glad because I took the time to have dinner at "The chicken shop" amazing value and great meal. $14 scored me a full plate with chicken, mac and cheese and salad. The waitress was an angel. Thanks heaps. I will definetly get a drink from there next time as tye drink I got on its own from the station was $6.

Absolute legends. They're my saviour when I'm starving after a long shift. Can not go wrong with roast chicken and salad.

Stumbled upon this place for a quick feed before a visit to the Enmore, and although prices are a tad too high (and I'm being nice) the food we were served was top notch. Ordered the quarter chicken with a side of potato salad and chips along with their regular chicken burger (which I ordered because it was the cheapest thing to add to what I perceived to be an already pricey meal for two - considering that it's only a chicken shop) but was surprised with the portion size and the quality of the food. The chicken & salad was delicious and the burger was massive for what I expected it to be. And the chips were cooked to perfection. Customer service was good aswell, and considering that it seemed fairly busy in there for a Monday night we were served pretty quickly.

1 man army behind the counter, with the burger making ability of at least 3. we ordered the big mal with a side of baby chips. burger big enough to make your uncle full. bussin seasoning on the chips too. lovely.

This is the best chicken shop I know. I travel for from the city to Newtown then back to city again to catch my train home…they’re that good!

The firebreather lived up to it’s promise. The chicken was moist and tender and the spicy was spicy.
The chips were fresh and crispy and the seasoning was lit. Idk what they’re putting on those chips but it’s goosfraba.
I need to go back to try the risotto burger. This chicken chop has given me faith.

Great service. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Good menu options. Had the sludge roll and got the chips changed to yam - so good! 13.90 with a drink.

I’m far from a regular reviewer but the Chicken Shop @ Newtown (next to the station) truly blew me away tonight.
I was stranded; expected at my girlfriend’s house where the nightly meal was likely to be soup related. Not on.
The the arrival of the 426 loomed.
I leapt for the nearest available option: Chicken Shop @ Newtown.
I was offered the spicy chicken wrap. Hesitantly I accepted, knowing full well that it might be my only anti-soup option as the 426 drew closer.
I was far from disappointed.
The chicken was succulent, the veg: fresh and crisp. The promise of spice was also fulfilled.
Simply outstanding.

Cool hip friendly unpretentious .just like NEWTOWN.the food is hearty soul food.
but would love some original Greek food specials weekly or on specials every month i:e mousakka yalataburiko & other Greek sweets & delectables
The front staff are always smiling & friendly,especially this talk tattooed guy at evenings.thanks for being just yourselves & serving good food

5 stars for taste, serving size and speed. I could not fault the double chicken burger. Loved every bite and will be back.

This place serves up amazing hot chips and the BBQ chicken rolls are incredibly delicious. The owner is friendly and the staff are very efficient. I highly recommend this place!
