A must visit if you’re up for a challenging hike. The scenery is second to none with sweeping views of the Granite Belt. We took approx 3.5 hours to do the climb with several stops and detours to other walks at the foot of the Pyramid. Be prepared with good hiking shoes and some water. The paths are cleared making it easy walking but be prepared for lots of stairs before you start your ascent of the rock face. The rock face is steep so it may be challenging for those with a fear of heights. Well worth it when you see the views!

Climbing The Pyramid is incredibly rewarding. It is must-see if you like hiking. The rock becomes very slippery, can be dangerous when it rains. I would recommend that you go there on a sunny day.

Another of our great parks around Australia. Beautiful walks and scenery. The pyramid can be a fair test for average walker. Steep and testing.

The pyramid is a climb for the moderately fit. This walk involves a few km's where you climb up some steep steps to the scale the granite face of the pyramid. This view at the top is beautiful offering 360 degree views of the surrounding national park. Definitely a must see to come and experience.

A challenge. Very steep. I’m surprised there’s no rope to hold onto. Need good hiking boots. Great experience! Next time I’ll take my swimmers.

Great hike! Not to bad for the beginners, but if you want to reach the top - you will need at least hiking shoes with rubber bottom, because the rock gets slippery when it’s rainy! Even on a good weather condition I would recommend to wear proper shoes to get up. 360 view is stunning! Absolutely loved it! Hike itself not too long, people get there with kids, not too tiring I would say.

Amazing hike to the Pyramids. It's more of an advance level 4 hike. Not too far, but the Rockey surface is a different challenge. Do not attempt the final rock climb unless you have proper hiking footwear. I used my runners and struggled on my way down as it was slippery as I could never imagine. Thanks to a experienced hiker helping me way down I am home today 🤣. Going up to the top is a bit difficult but you can make it. Coming down needs a lot of control and good footwear. It's a definite worthy hike. The view is rewarding. Bit of wind but not too much. Leave at least 4- 5 hours if you would like to enjoy it. I think there must be close to around 400 steps up to the base of the rock as per my rough calculation. Parth is well cleaned and clear until you get to the base of the rock. Then you got to follow the small white paint marks on the rock. That's the safest way to the top and back. Pics does not do any justice to show the difficulties in this hike. I had Optus coverage at the top and half way. So mobile signals can be patchy. There are nice rock pools in the national park if you would like to have a dip in the water. I would recommend to take the hike in the morning hours unless you are an experienced climber. There are plenty of ppl around to help you till about 2 pm. Then the amount of ppl visiting drops drastically. We visited during the weekend and only saw two couples going into the hike after 3 pm. Don't think they would have attempted the climb. Take some water and a fruit to snack. A hat is compulsory to keep you sun safe. Never ever attempt the rock climb if it is raining. You will have to get support in case you get stuck on the top during rain. Life is more important so call for helpline in case this happens. I loved it and enjoyed it very much. Just want to emphasise not to attempt the rock climb if you don't have proper hiking footwear, runners is a big NO. And definitely not in wet weather. Let me know how you go. Hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Nice short climb on granite. No real scrambling or hands required, but still fun. The views are nice and the only source of phone reception near the camp ground!

The track is well marked with white paint once you hit the rock section. I’d really love the second pyramid to be better signed and accessible without doing your own route finding, but these days sadly the trend is shutting down fun climbs (Mt Warning, Coonowrin) rather than opening them up.

The view from the summit is stunning as you can have 360-degree view. For the best view try to go before sunrise (We walked in dark & enjoyed the sunrise).

Few sections are very slippery and not advisable with kids (We walked two time, one with kids to certain level & another next day without kids to reach summit).

The walk is amazing as it involves various steps.

Public amenities are available at the base with plenty of car parking spots.

This was an interesting and enjoyable walk. Not too long in terms of distance however it takes time to scramble up the rock face which is steep and slippery, so you’ll need shoes with good grip! Only do this walk when it’s dry - any water makes the rock very slippery and dangerous. The views are beautiful! Follow along on our adventures around Australia @sambolomio

The track from Bald Creek camp ground to the Pyramid is well form with plenty of step to help get you to the rock face. It passes near the Granite Arch with a slight detour. The rock face gets steep and can be slippery is sections. The view from the top is is fantastic

Not an easy climb, but definitely worth it when you reach the summit: Spectacular! Make sure you have appropriate hiking shoes, and preferably leave your additional stuff and backpack in your car, as they may stop you from going up. If it is raining, the rock will be slippery and a bit stressful to climb. My recommendation is not to go up when the weather is wet. Hence, plan ahead and pick a dry day. There is a balanced rock on the summit which everyone takes photo with it :)

We went up the Pyramid & took us the longest time to go right to the top. Following the white-painted track will get you safely up to the top. What a beautiful view at the top. Need to take photos of the big rock.

100% worth the view.

The climb up can feel a bit daunting depending on how you are with heights, but it's safe and doable even with an average level of fitness.

Amazing place to visit and hike. Recommended early morning if attempting to climb the pyramid. Gets pretty toasty in the sun otherwise.

A most impressive landscape. The Granite boulders are stunning and walking between them and climbing up the Pyramid rewards you with fantastic views. Assess how you will descend before starting the walk up.

This National Park is a must see! I love the Granite Belt with its unique rock formations and rather cool climate compared with the QLD coast, where I live. Climbing the Pyramid is a most rewarding experience, however not without dangers. Good shoes with a good grip are essential and only dry weather and dry surface allow the climb, which is mostly a steep and careful walk. More difficult to get down than up, so take your time. Not for old people or unfit people! Take your camera, of course!

Definitely very challenging and dangerous as well. We went on a sunny day with hiking boots on . The initial ascend was fine , just steep and you need to work hard. however half way through, the climb kind of get to the side of the mountain, and if we lose our footing, we can just fall off the cliff and say goodbye. So unfortunately for us, mission abandoned.
It would be good if they can install some safety fence or railing.
