I hired Milk Barrel for a large event I held and they were FANTASTIC! Really really lovely people who were very easy to work with and helped me put on a great event! Everyone loved their ice-cream and they looked and tasted DELICIOUS. After the event we still had tubs of ice-cream left over which we could keep. The ice-cream was so good though that by the next day it was all gone!

Had the Hazelnut and it was absolutely delicious. About the best I've had. Kids had Cookies and cream and Lemon sorbet and both loved their choices.

Small batch artisanal gelato - all made in house by hand by the owner trained in Italy. You might even see her working up some batches in the back if you're early enough on a Tuesday or Friday!

Fresh from scratch - there is NO skimping on flavors here. It all comes from FRESH ingredients and a lot of it. I've seen it. You can literally TASTE it. The owner has huge pride in quality and it delivers!

Has a modest storefront that, upon further inspection, is basically all the awards this shop has won for their high quality product.

You might even catch the owner's parents in the shop, which I think just ups the adorable charm of this place. :)

Though the clientele may mostly be families and little children, these flavors are truly exciting for those with a refined palate, like the saffron rose pistachio or the marscapone w homemade honey fig or the white peach bellini. (My fave was still the cookies n cream chock full of Oreos, though lol)

Amazing. Food and service, great. Ice cream is incredible

After leaving Italy I never thought we would get good gelato again. Then found an Italian place in rural NSW that has amazing Gelato the matched the Italy Gelato. But now we have found the Milk Barrel. It is mouthwatering. We were a family of five so managed to taste 10 flavours and every single one of them was delicious mouth watery and amazing. The service was grea my too. Absolutely worth a visit/

Bought one scoop of the coffee ice cream. Not sure how to explain it, but it tastes like they used actual high quality coffee rather than some artificial coffee flavour syrup.

The opposite feeling to when you buy banana sweets and it tastes like fake banana.

Easily the best ice cream in Perth. Flavours change often, so you never get bored. Probably one of the places I visit the most frequently. Love their creativity in coming up with new surprising flavours. A must when you are in the neighbourhood.

we tried rose, hazel nut, vanilla bean and pistachio.. all four flavors were very tasty. texture and consistency was light and creamy. definitely coming back.

I stopped to get the kids and I a gelato here only because it was on the way to the car. Omg! It was DELICIOUS which I was not expecting as I am very fussy about gelato. The pistachio was very strong in flavour. All the gelato had a lovely mouth feel, creamy whilst still being almost "chewy" - not the right word but it's my word for a really nice gelato texture. We'll be back 100%

Easily the best icecream in town! My absolute favourite salted caramel and lemon basil, also love their small batches of not-so-usual flavours added to their menu. Open long hours, great excuse to add this place to your excersise routine even after work! 👍🚶🏼‍♀🏃🏼‍♀🚴
