BIG4 Whitsundays Tropical Eco Resort

Great accommodation with wonderfully helpful staff. You can't walk to town, but there is a bus stop out the front with a regular bus service (they only take cash). The Jubalee Tavern is great for a family dinner with a free courtesy bus to pick you up and drop you home again. I definitely recommend this accommodation to others who want to enjoy a relaxed holiday.

I have no hesitation on reviewing this park. We had a caravan site for a few days and loved the tropical setting as well as some shade trees. The park is beautifully maintained as is the ablution block. Looking forward to our next visit

I camped in the non powered section. Beautiful gardens, well maintained. Very good amenities, and a warm welcome from the reception. I didn't realise the airport was right behind us, but there was no noise after dark. Actually I enjoyed seeing the planes so close. Great price for a lovely park in a very expensive area.

Lovey pet friendly park
Good size sites. We were backed onto the bush and had daily visits from the local wildlife.
Amenities clean and modern.
No ocean access however only a short drive to same.
Nice cafe right next door at the airstrip.
The planes didn't cause any issue with noise

Hired a powered campsite for a night. Beautiful tropical surroundings. Lovely pool, clean shower and toilets. Great value for money and centrally located. Lovely park for families

A little out of town, so you need to drive or organise alternative - there is a bus stop right out front if needed.
Had an ensuite cabin.
Cabins are affordable and have all you need as a home base - also very clean and shower pressure amazing. Staff were lovely and friendly.

We stayed in a studio villa for a nice weekend away. Check in process was easy as we got in after hours and the villas were clean and comfortable with everything you need! Would stay again 🙂

We stayed 4 nights and we had a very good stay. It is right next to the airport where many flying tours go out for day trips and they are really loud, but it didn't bother us, and they were not noisy at night. The camping was tidy and clean. The camp kitchen had everything you need. We would recommend it and stay there again.

We stayed in a pet friendly cabin with our dog Freya who was also made to feel very welcome by the staff.
Definitely a family friendly park that is kept spotless.

Fantastic caravan park, huge sites, management puts on a music and movie with a pizza truck. Amenities are in good condition. The park is maintained perfectly, with plenty of tropical vegetation (attached photo below from my site). Definitely will come back. Only draw back are the planes taking off in the morning (airfield is behind the park), but then I'm an early riser, so it wasn't an issue.

It used to be awesome. Went there multiple times. Now the manager has changed and there is othing for kids, barely a playground fully under the sun. Nothing except a pool. The bathrooms aren't as clean as those used to be. The staff and specially manager weren't really nice. Girls at receptions are very nice tho. Near the boat ramp good for putting the boat in. Otherwise far from everything.

Would highly recommend this caravan park. The facilities are awesome and plenty of great areas to chill out. The camp kitchen and the toilets are cleaned daily. Nice sized camping sites. We stayed for a month and the staff were amazing. The ladies in the front office are very friendly and accomodating. Will definitely be staying again

We had a lovely stay at the campground. We booked a powered site and got a beautiful site in the middle of palm trees. Everything is very clean and the staff is super friendly. We got stuck at the campground because our car wouldn‘t start and everyone was so supportive and caring! They even got us some groceries if we needed some (because we couldn‘t walk to the grocery store). Best team. We would definitely come back.

we stayed eco deluxe lodge which newly build .. no problems at all during stay with park amenities ,other holidays makers ,
Only shortcoming as compare to other big4/discovery Parks( lack of kids jumping area/pillow .. big pool with water area activity)… 10/10

We stayed in a camper, everything is close to you on site. Fantastic coffee shop next door. Food truck on site beside cinema/band area. Very helpful & lovely people. Will absolutely be staying again

Stayed at a powered site, beautiful park, dog friendly, staff extremely helpful and friendly. Amenities were always clean and tidy. Airport was very active even seen a couple of skydivers above 😁 would recommend looking forward to our next visit.

Although we didn't stay in a room, our site was awesome. Set among the trees. Beautiful park. Amenities clean and tidy.

Great stay on a grassy powered site. Clean facilities and well maintained campground. Ideal location for a stopover close to Shute Harbour. Lovely staff member, Kelly, at reception was very helpful to us.

We stayed on a powered site. It was absolutely beautiful, nestled in amongst the palms. Like a little Oasis. Loved this place, Amenities were super clean and well maintained. Park is clean and a pleasure to stay at

I had a great grass spot for my van and it was so beautiful. The staff are amazing, friendly and very accommodating. I will come back and friends have said they will come there next year. 😊 ❤
