Hey Buddy is a vibe.

Best coffee in Ulverstone not bitter at all. They serve up delicious meals and we enjoyed their house made crumpets with locally made peanut butter as well as lemon curd and A hefty Reuben on 24 hour sourdough.

They’ve created an atmosphere that feels warm, inviting, nourishing, and unique. The staff are not just efficient but you can tell they really like being there - it’s noticeable. I saw so much care with every meal being plated before it went out to the tables from where I was sitting - I swear it made the food that much better too. I could even see a woman with bright hair happily and efficiently handling all the dishes.

It’s one thing to have a nicely presented front of the house, it’s another to have a cohesive and flowing kitchen - and they have both.

Also it’s way bigger than what it seems from outside. There's a few tables out front, a good number of tables inside, and an extra section of seating including a table for a larger party out the back too.

Parking is either around the corner, behind them in a parking lot, or on the street.

When we first moved to Tasmania, someone in Devonport said they come to Ulverstone just to go to Hey Buddy on the weekends - I get it now.

Great coffee ☕ , great themed vibe and delicious menu.

This place is on the up and up, small but fun the owners have made their mark, and it seems to keep growing.

I've enjoyed many coffees here and had a meal and a few snacks and I can safely say it's worth a visit. Always get a friendly smile and it's always bustling.

Drop by, you won't be disappointed , it's certainly my local cafe and weekend stop.

Best Coffee in Tasie!

Really nice feel and atmosphere. Excellent table service, all the staff had a smile on their face and the food come out quickly. The Deluxe burger was to die for and my coffee was the best I've had in Tasmanaia.

Perfect coffees, fresh fruit & yoghurt in the granola it was very filling, lovely staff and very aesthetic cafe environment. Thank Hey Buddy

Super cute little spot with an awesome 70's vibe. Love the name (can't wait to actually meet buddy!) Food, service and coffee all great.

Update: This place keeps getting better! Food and fantastic and the new decor additions totally rock.

One of my favourite eats. The Forager is amazing! Try it, you can trust me on this. Great coffee, service always fantastic. Never disappointed.

Dropped by for coffee after the new owners have taken over, Coffee was nice and the outside table area was a welcome place on a sunny day.
We did offer the move because the outside tables only had one shaded umbrella so we kindly gave up our shaded area to an elderly lady who was sitting out in today's hot sun. A bit more outdoor shade would be nice.
Only stopped for coffee which was nice albeit a bit luke warm, not outstanding but still nice.

I had a fantastic time today having my Flatwhite ☕ with the Morning Muffin 🥧. The atmosphere is great, and the staff is awesome.
You’ll meet the nice young lady with her beautiful smile to make your whole day while she servicing you.

Lovely service with a great vibe. I had a delicious egg and bacon roll along with the best cookie/sandwich treat! Such a hidden gem of a place, definitely stop by!

Great place for a very nice meal in a casual place with great friendly staff.

Delicious food and excellent service. However, the limited variety in the menu is a drawback. Despite that, it remains a top choice for breakfast due to its overall quality and pleasant atmosphere.

We visited with my 80 year old mum 17 year old nephew with everyone else in between on a day with torrential rain. We came in and felt instantly relaxed. Thankfully we had booked a table because the small place was jammed. There isn't much similar around, definitely a place to drive to. Great takeaway coffee. The interior has fun 70s motifs and decoration. The menu was strong with multiple vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Across the table we had poached eggs, waffles, toasted sandwiches and they all came out looking great. The service was friendly and snappy. Really great brunch. Thank for having us!

Just moved to tassie. We were looking for a new local coffee shop and we found it first try. Really great food, plenty of GF options, coffee is on point.....what else do you need?

Best service I’ve ever had, they’re friendly, fast and all around a good vibe. I walked in at 1, and just about to finish my meal at 1:20 (do keep in mind it was quiet, hence why they got my meal out so quick) definitely recommend coming here!

Great little Cafe that is a-buzz with atmosphere. Wait staff are efficient & friendly, service was excellent & everyone was smiling. So nice to see employees with happy faces.
