I dined at the Cricketers with 3 others. The service was attentive and the meals arrived timely and were enjoyed by us all. The desserts were really good too.

The refurbished outdoor section is a pleasure and we were able to converse without too much noise. There is a retractable roof for when the weather turns cool or rainy.
All up we enjoyed our time and meals at the Cricketers.

Exceptional pork belly, corn on the cob and scotch egg! We ate in the bar area and the service was really friendly and efficient. Great to have this neighbourhood gem back up and running!

So happy that the Cricketers have opened again. Can't wait for the beer garden to open soon as well. A week or so away just in time for a hopefully warm and sunny start of 2024.
We had a Tanquerey gin tonic and the prawn cocktail followed by the pinot grigio and riesling to the crispy skinned salmon and the beer battered fish an chips. Next time I'll try the pork belly and the pannacotta for desert. Nice selection of wine by the glass. Definitely value for money which is getting rare these days. Oh, great music in the front bar, not to mention the expertise and friendliness of the staff.

We had delicious pork belly and salmon for dinner. Could have been improved with a few new potatoes but otherwise yummy and great value.

Great pub for a drink nice sports bar at the front with sport on the tv’s. Across the hall is a nice dinning room and down the back is a really big outdoor court yard with bar but it was very loud in the courtyard area was hard to hear and have a conversation. Food was nice just had the chicken wings and Mac and cheese with truffle was nice easy pub food menu I would definitely go back and have Guinness on tap.

Beer Garden is sensational. It was 32° but it was actually cool sitting outside in the beer garden! We ordered quite a few menu items and they were all impressive. We'll be back again soon

Our fish and chips (a huge slab of barra) and salmon with the amazing corn cobs were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Great wine list and very professional wait staff. So glad the Cricketers are open again.

We loved the new menu at the Cricketers - recently overhauled and with a focus on local, house made produce.
We sat outside in the heated gin garden for cocktails and lunch. 52 kinds of gin are available including Diviners which isn't available at any other taverns!
They have screens up so you can watch the footy and it's great for families too. The roof retracts so you can enjoy the sun when it's shining.
Staff were super friendly and the food was yummy - we had some canapes to start, the sunday roast, Baramundi with polenta, and then sticky date with ice cream for dessert.
They also have a gin

Last Saturday we visited The Cricketers in Port Melbourne for a delicious dining and drinks experience 😎
This is a neighbourhood eatery and pub with a beautiful interior and an expansive courtyard that has been in the area since 1876 😱
They have an extensive gin menu and we tried a couple of them with their perfectly presented G&T 😍
We also tried their starters and the fried corn ribs was definitely our favourite, so flavourful and well seasoned 🤤
For mains we definitely recommend both the super crispy chicken parma or the flavoursome fresh prawns spaghetti 😋
We finished our meal with a couple of beers and enjoyed the sunshine at their gorgeous gin garden, we had such an amazing time and will definitely be back to try more 🥰
Featuring:
🍓 Strawberries & Smash G&T $20
🍊 Gin Gin Mule $20
🦑 Salt and Pepper Calamari $22
🌽 Fried Corn Ribs $18
🥒 Zucchini $12
🍝 Fresh Prawns Spaghetti $33

On a quiet side street in Port Melbourne, lies the Cricketers - walking past the Cricketers, you wouldn't know there's a pub inside. Blink and you may miss on something pretty special.... Howzat!

There are two reasons why I loved this place -
1) happy hour cocktails! We got $10 cocktails - and they happen from 3-7pm most nights - that's pretty special.
2) the vibe, it feels like the locals choice for a family dinner, or an afterwork spot, or somewhere to meet a group of friends. It is what the title says - a neighbourhood eatery.

There's lots of nooks, and breakaway spots - you can sit by the fireplace, or the sitting room at the front, but we sat out the back where it has the modern outdoor pub vibe. Walking through the door, it knocked me out for six.

I was invited to try their menu. The food is traditional pub fare, but it ups the ante. Their regular menu looks pretty good, but as a general rule, I like to do the specials because you get to see their creativity. My friend had the pork schnitzel and I had the meatball & shittake mushroom chicken parma. Both were delicious. Particularly the pork schnitzel -it should be on the main menu. Large generous portions, it feels like a good family pub dinner. We also had the mac and cheese, and the fruit tart (also a special) for dessert. Boonie would be satisfied.

If I lived in Port Melbourne, I would certainly be here most weeks, but I'll probably be making an effort straight down the cover drive to return here for a Sunday sesh, or a Bottomless brunch.

So what's the score? Did it hit the border for a 4? Or did it knock it out of the park for a 6/5? Somewhere between 4 and 5 - so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt - it deserves to stay. I don't like the Cricketers... oh no.... I loved it.

Really nice place for a drink and food after a long day at work. As you enter, you will walk into the old English pub. If you proceed along the corridor you enter in the garden bar. Small and cosy garden under the stars in a quite neighborood. The place is also dog friendly, your dog will be more than welcome here! The pub has good food and several special each day, apart Saturday. Beer selection is a bit limited though.

The misso (not the soup) and I love this place. Happy hour lasts 4hrs mon-fri 4-7pm in the gin garden different hours in the front bar. Espresso martini’s (cocktails), pots and pints of beer, and wines. My new favourite local and the food is great!! Most things are on happy hour, it’s truely a hidden gem.

Very efficient mobile based check-in and ordering system. Food was served relatively quickly even when there were a few large groups there. The quality of the food was great.
